# Getting Started

It only takes 60 seconds to get to grips with Cielo's most useful features👇

<figure><img src="/files/GususAIJeGWZ7kxh0xmj" alt=""><figcaption><p>Default view of the Cielo web app.</p></figcaption></figure>

Cielo is packed with powerful features including advanced tools for professional wallet trackers and traders. You don't need to be familiar with all of these to start benefiting from Cielo though. In fact, you can be up and running in as little as 60 seconds.

<figure><img src="/files/tOcubKj98yau4CjxT5L0" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Visit the Cielo [web app](https://app.cielo.finance/) and click the **Connect** button in the top right. The above popup will appear and you can connect your web wallet. (Click the Solana tab to select an EVM wallet if you prefer.)
* Next, click to sign the wallet transaction that pops up. This is used to verify ownership of the wallet you're connecting with and does *not* authorize Cielo to access any funds.

With these two steps completed, you're now connected to the Cielo web app and able to start your voyage of onchain discovery, from tracking wallets to trading Solana tokens.

If you're interested in Solana trading, the final step before you can get started is to deposit some SOL to the trading wallet that Cielo auto-generates when you first connect to the web app.

<figure><img src="/files/EJjtj33VexQaxBPLMiqn" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* In the top right of the page, click the red wallet icon to view the address of your Solana trading wallet. Click **Deposit** and click again to agree to the terms and conditions. You can now send SOL to your trading wallet and get started.

If you're not looking to start trading at this time, and would rather use Cielo for wallet tracking you can skip this step. Instead, follow the guide below to begin tracking your first wallets and receiving Telegram alerts:

1. Go to [Tracking](https://app.cielo.finance/tracking), click **Add Wallets** (top right), enter a wallet address and add a label. Repeat.
2. Alternatively, go to [Public Lists](https://app.cielo.finance/public-lists), find an interesting list and click **Follow**.&#x20;
3. In **Tracking**, create your own list by clicking **Add List** (top right).
4. From the **Lists** tab at the top of the page, select your list and then tick the wallets you wish to add.
5. To set Telegram/Discord alerts, first go to **Settings >** [**Alerts**](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/alerts) and activate a bot.
6. Then in **Tracking** tick the box to the left of the wallets you wish to set alerts for or click **Select All**.
7. Next, click **Alert Settings** (bottom of page) or click the edit icon to the right of the wallet label.
8. Finally pick the transaction types, USD value, and networks you wish to receive Telegram/Discord alerts for.
9. View recent transactions made by wallets you’re following in [**Feed**](https://app.cielo.finance/feed). Use the options in the right sidebar to filter results.
10. Unlock additional features including the ability to track more wallets in **Settings >** [**Plans**](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/plans).

There's a lot more to Cielo, including an array of advanced trading and tracking features, but in this Quick Start Guide we've covered the basics. Read on to learn more about how Cielo works, starting with **Trending** – your gateway to Solana token discovery.

# Overview

You've always used Cielo to find and track wallets... but had to go elsewhere to act on them. Not anymore. Agents act on what your tracked wallets do, automatically, so the edge doesn't depend on you being awake.

Cielo acquired OdinBot, the undefeated, fastest copy trading bot with $250M in volume, and built its engine directly into the app. When a wallet you copy buys a token, your agent buys it too, from alert to fill, without you touching anything. On Solana, 70% of copies land in the same slot as the wallet copied. The copy trade lands before the fomo notification does.

Everything lives on the [Agents page](https://app.cielo.finance/agents), split into two tabs:

* **Trading agents**: Execute on-chain for you, with your own size, entry, and exit rules. This section covers them.
* **Research agents**: Watch the chain and alert you when specific patterns fire, like a KOL cluster buy or a fresh wallet accumulating. See Research agents.

Agents run on Solana, Base, and Robinhood Chain. Each agent is tied to one chain and trades from your Cielo trading wallet on that chain (click **Deposit** in the top right if you haven't funded one yet).

**Signal types**

Every trading agent runs on a signal that decides when it buys:

* **Wallet Copy**: When a tracked wallet buys a token, your agent buys it too. This is copy trading, the main event: see **Copy trading** for the full walkthrough.
* **Multi-Buy**: Enters when several tracked wallets buy the same token within a short window. Confluence over conviction in any single wallet.
* **Trending Token** *(coming soon)*: Enters tokens as they climb the trending rankings across social and volume metrics.

Whatever the signal, the same controls apply: token filters, buy sizing, execution, and exit rules. The full reference is on the **Agent settings** page.

### Track your performance

The Agents page doubles as your dashboard for every agent you run.

**Summary panel**: Realized and unrealized PnL, win rate, total trades, tokens traded, buys/sells, and median hold time for the timeframe you select (1D, 7D, 30D, or Max). The **Token Profit Distribution** chart buckets every traded token by return, from below -50% to above +500%, so you can see the shape of your results, not just the total.

**Chain filter**: View performance for all chains together or Solana, Base, and Robinhood individually.

**Agents list**: Each agent shows as Running or Paused. Pause or edit an agent any time; its settings and history are kept.

**Positions tables**: Three tabs track the actual trades:

* **Active positions**: What your agents currently hold, with live PnL.
* **History**: Closed positions.
* **Trades**: Every individual buy and sell.

### Fees

Trading agents charge a 1% fee per executed trade.

# Copy Trading

Track. Trade. Copytrade. From alert to fill.

The wallets you already track are two clicks from being copied. When they buy, your agent buys, with your size, your filters, and your exit rules.

**What a copy trading agent can do**

* Copy buys from up to 250 wallets per agent on the Free plan, 750 on Pro, and 2,000 on Whale
* Copy USDC trades as well as SOL on Solana, which means fomo wallets can be copied too
* Filter which tokens it copies by market cap, token age, and launch platform
* Enter instantly or wait to buy the dip
* Exit on your terms: copy the wallet's sells, or rely on tiered stop loss and take profit rules
* Snipe token launches from wallets you copy, the moment they deploy
* Simulate its performance against the last 7 days before you run it

### Copy a wallet in two clicks

Every wallet profile has a **Copy Trade** button. Click it, pick which of your agents should copy the wallet (or spin up a new agent on the spot), and hit **Start copying**. The wallet inherits that agent's buy size, filters, and exit strategy, and you can customize any of it for this wallet before you start.

Found someone in your Feed, in Discovery, or on the PnL Leaderboard worth following? You're two clicks from mirroring them.

### Create an agent

Want to set your own filters and exits? Click **New Trading Agent** on the Agents page. Two steps, about a minute.

**Step 1: Signal**

1. **Name your agent**. Something you'll recognize in the dashboard later.
2. **Pick a signal type**. For copy trading, that's **Wallet Copy**.
3. **Pick a chain**: Solana, Base, or Robinhood.
4. **Add wallets to copy**. Paste an address, add an optional label, and click **+ Add wallet** for more, or **+ Add batch** to paste a list. Limits depend on your plan: 250 copied wallets per agent on Free, 750 on Pro, 2,000 on Whale. You can also leave this empty and add wallets after creating the agent.

The panel on the right shows a live summary of your draft, and a **Simulation** of how it would have performed over the last 1, 3, or 7 days once you've filled in a wallet and buy amount. Use it to sanity-check your settings before running anything.

**Step 2: Trading settings**

This is where you set what the agent buys, how it enters, and when it exits. The defaults are sensible; the full reference is on the **Agent settings** page. At minimum, check:

* **Amount per buy**: How much the agent spends on every copied buy.
* **Stop loss and take profit**: On by default, at -30% sell 100% and at +100% sell 50% respectively. Adjust to taste.

Click **Create & Activate**. Your agent starts running immediately, and you can pause, edit, or delete it at any time from the Agents page.

### FAQ

<details>

<summary>What settings should I start with?</summary>

Start small. Keep each buy under 10% of your account, and under 2% if your account is large. Scale your per-buy amount down as you add more copied wallets, so ten wallets firing at once can't drain your balance. On Solana, set buy limits per wallet: something like 3 buys per hour and 6 per day is a conservative start, and you can loosen it once you trust the wallet. The engine keeps a buffer of SOL in reserve so you can always close positions.

</details>

<details>

<summary>I copied a profitable trade. Why is mine at a loss?</summary>

You're always second in line. By the time your buy lands, the original wallet's buy (and every other copier's) has already pushed the price up, so you enter higher and exit later. The gap gets worse with illiquid tokens, with heavily copied wallets, and when the trader you copy is averaging into a position they opened much lower, which makes their percentage gain look better than anything you could have matched. Some wallets also look better than they are because they never sell their losers. This is the core tradeoff of copy trading; the [copy trading guide](https://docs.cielo.finance/guides/copy-trading) covers how to pick wallets where the edge survives the delay.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What happens to open positions if I remove a wallet from my agent?</summary>

Nothing, automatically. Positions opened from that wallet's activity stay open, and your stop loss and take profit rules keep applying. If you also had sell-when-copied-wallet-sells on, that trigger is gone with the wallet, so close or manage those positions yourself.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why did my agent skip a trade?</summary>

Usually one of your own filters: the token's market cap or age was outside your range, its platform was unchecked, the buy would have exceeded your buy limits, or a Scaling buy sized below your minimum. The engine also protects you from clearly bad entries: it won't buy tokens whose freeze authority hasn't been revoked, and it declines trades where your entry price would be far worse than the wallet you're copying.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why did my agent buy the same token twice?</summary>

On Solana, turn on **Duplicate buy protection**: once your agent holds a token, further buy signals for it are ignored, no matter which of your copied wallets triggers them. Without it, two wallets buying the same token means two buys, because buy limits count per wallet, not per token. **Only copy new positions** also cuts repeats, since averaging-down buys stop qualifying.

</details>

<details>

<summary>My buys on pump.fun keep failing. What gives?</summary>

Slippage. New bonding-curve tokens move violently, and if the price jumps beyond your slippage tolerance before your transaction settles, the trade is rejected. Raise slippage for launchpad trading and for heavily copied wallets, and accept that you'll sometimes pay up. That's the risk-reward dial: tight slippage misses fills, loose slippage fills at worse prices.

</details>

# Agent settings

Every agent setting and what it does. You can edit any of these after the agent is created.

#### Token filters

Controls which copied buys the agent acts on. Buys that don't pass the filters are skipped.

* **Market cap**: Minimum and maximum market cap in USD.
* **Token age**: Minimum and maximum age, in hours.
* **Platforms**: Only copy buys for tokens traded on the platforms you leave checked. On Solana this covers Pump.fun, Pump "Mayhem mode", PumpSwap, Raydium V4, Raydium LP (CPMM), Raydium LaunchLab, Bonk / LetsBonk, Meteora DBC, Boop, Heaven, Moonit / Moonshot, Token Mill, and standard Solana markets.

#### Buy

* **Wallet**: The trading wallet the agent spends from.
* **Amount per buy**: How much the agent spends on each copied buy.
  * **Constant** buys the same fixed amount every time, regardless of what the copied wallet spends.
  * **Scaling** sizes your buy as a percentage of the copied wallet's buy, inside bounds you set. Three parameters: the multiplier (percentage of their trade size), a minimum (trades that would size below it are skipped), and a maximum (larger trades are capped there). A 1% multiplier mirrors a big trader proportionally; a 200% multiplier trades more aggressively than a small one.
* **Copied wallet's buy size filter**: Only copy a buy when the copied wallet spent within a range you set. This filters their buy size, not the size of your own buy. Useful for ignoring a whale's dust buys, or their occasional oversized ape.
* **Entry**: **Instant** copies the tracked wallet's buys immediately, with no delay. **Buy the dip** waits for a pullback instead.
* **Execution**: How aggressively your buys chase the next block, and how they're protected on the way there.
  * **Speed** sets how your copy trades are prioritized on-chain through the priority fees each trade pays. **Standard** (\~0.002 SOL per trade) is fast in normal conditions. **Turbo** (\~0.008 SOL) stays fast even when the network is congested. **Godly** (\~0.06 SOL) is for winning races on heavily copied wallets. **Custom** lets you set your own fees.
  * **MEV protection** shields your trades from sandwich and front-running bots. **Fastest** routes directly to the block leader, **Balanced** only sends to leaders with no history of sandwiching, and **Protected** routes exclusively through Jito, where sandwiching is prohibited.
  * **Slippage** is the maximum price movement you'll accept before a trade is rejected (default 30%). Raise it for early bonding-curve tokens and heavily copied wallets, where prices jump fast; keep it tight elsewhere.
  * **Degen mode** switches off the engine's price safety checks, so trades execute even at entries the engine would normally decline. Leave it off unless you know exactly why you're turning it on.
* **Only copy new positions**: Only copy a buy when the tracked wallet is opening a brand-new position, meaning its balance for that token was zero. Filters out averaging-down buys.
* **Duplicate buy protection** *(Solana agents, in the agent's settings after creation)*: Once your agent has bought a token, further buy signals for that token are ignored, across every wallet the agent copies. Two wallets aping the same launch means one buy, not two.
* **Snipe token launches**: When a wallet you copy launches a token on a launchpad like Pump.fun, buy it immediately.
* **Buy limits** *(Solana agents)*: Caps how often your agent buys. Unlimited by default; individual wallets can override the cap.

#### Sell

* **Sell when copied wallet sells**: Exit alongside the wallet you copy, instead of relying only on your stop loss and take profit rules.
* **Stop loss**: Sells a share of your position at each loss tier. Default: at -30%, sell 100% of the position. Add tiers to scale out in steps; together they can sell up to 100%.
* **Take profit**: Same idea in the other direction. Default: at +100%, sell 50% of the position. Add tiers to ladder your exits.

Each sell percentage applies to the original position size, so tiers stack predictably.

# Telegram Trading

Cielo's Telegram bot includes native trading functionality, allowing you to buy and sell Solana and Base tokens directly from your alerts.

When Telegram Trading is enabled, every swap alert in your bot will include **Quick Buy buttons** at the bottom of the message, letting you act on a trade the moment you spot it.

#### Enabling Telegram Trading

To get started, your trading wallet must be funded (SOL for Solana, ETH or USDC for Base). You can view your trading wallet address and balance at any time by sending `/start` to your Cielo bot. The home screen shows:

* Your current plan and wallet counts
* Your active trading wallet address and balance
* Navigation buttons for Positions, PnL, Trading Wallets, Settings, and more

***

#### Quick Buying from Alerts

When a tracked wallet makes a swap on Solana or Base, your alert will display three **Quick Buy buttons** beneath the transaction — for example:

> 🟢 **0.1 SOL**   🟢 **0.5 SOL**   🟢 **1 SOL**

Tap any button to instantly buy that token using the selected amount from your default trading wallet. Once executed, you'll receive a transaction receipt with a link to view it onchain.

You can customise these preset amounts at any time in **Trading Settings → Buy Presets**.

***

#### Trading a Specific Token

You can also open a token's buy/sell panel at any time by pasting a Solana or Base token address directly into the Telegram chat. The bot will display:

* Token name, symbol, and mint address
* Market cap, price, and liquidity
* Your current position and PnL for that token (if you hold it)

From here you can buy using preset amounts or a custom SOL value, and sell in preset percentages (25%, 50%, 100%) or a custom amount.

***

#### Positions

Tap **📊 Positions** from the bot home menu (or send `/positions`) to see all your currently open positions across your trading wallets, including each token's unrealised PnL in both SOL and USD or ETH and USD.

Tap any token in the list to open its buy/sell panel directly.

***

#### PnL Dashboard

Tap **📈 PnL** (or send `/pnl`) to view your trading performance for the last 1D, 7D, 30D, or all time. The dashboard shows:

* Realised and unrealised PnL in USD and SOL
* Total portfolio value
* Tokens traded, total transactions, buys vs sells, and win rate
* Token performance distribution (e.g. how many of your trades returned >500%, 200–500%, etc.)

***

#### Trading Wallets

Tap **💼 Trading Wallets** to manage the wallets used for trading. From here you can:

* View all wallets and their balances
* Create a new trading wallet
* Set a default wallet
* Rename, archive, or withdraw funds from any wallet

* **Priority Fee**: Increase to get your transaction confirmed faster during congestion
* **MEV Protection**: Protects your trade from sandwich attacks (Disabled / Reduced / Secure)
* **Auto Fee**: Automatically selects an optimal priority fee, with an optional SOL cap

**Buy Presets** The three SOL amounts shown as Quick Buy buttons in alerts. Defaults are 0.1, 0.5, and 1 SOL. Tap any preset to change it.

**Sell Presets** The three percentage amounts shown when selling a token. Defaults are 25%, 50%, and 100%.

***

> 💡 Telegram trading uses the same execution engine as the Cielo web app — your positions, wallets, and PnL are shared across both.

# Trending

[**Trending**](https://app.cielo.finance/trending) is the starting point for discovering and trading Solana and Base tokens. It allows you to quickly determine which tokens are attracting interest from other Cielo users, and to gauge key metrics such as market cap and volume.

<figure><img src="/files/HvWb1yuxxaEI3BUpBIzY" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Cielo's trading platform has been optimized every aspect of the trading process.

* **Low Latency APIs**: Custom-built for speed to ensure you get the best entry.
* **Precise PnL**: We include bribes and platform fees in our calculations to show your *true* profit. 📉
* **Mindshare** 🧠: Look beyond your own feed. See what the entire "Hive Mind" of Cielo traders is watching.
* **Trending**: Switch between 1m and 24h views to distinguish between quick flips and sustained trends. Use the chain selector at the top to toggle between Solana and Base tokens.

{% hint style="info" %}
Cielo charges 0.6% on all swaps executed within the web app and Telegram. This applies to both Solana and Base trades.
{% endhint %}

# Mindshare

Mastering Cielo's proprietary metric

Shown as a 🧠 emoji alongside Trending tokens, Mindshare is a proprietary metric developed by Cielo. It’s helpful for identifying Solana and Base tokens that are proving popular with other Cielo users.<br>

<figure><img src="/files/ANaYn5uayZhSiZne9bBS" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Mindshare gives each token a percentage score based on wallet behavior. Instead of ranking tokens by price, trading volume, and market cap, Mindshare tracks real swap activity from wallets in Cielo’s database. Tokens enter Trending because real Cielo traders are buying them.

### How Mindshare Works

Cielo constantly scans for token momentum within your selected timeframe, which can range from 1 min to 24 hrs. When enough tracked wallets start buying the same token during that window, it enters Trending.

Rankings reflect relative conviction – not raw token metrics. Because Mindshare is driven by wallet behavior, Trending often surfaces tokens before traditional metrics catch up, giving you early visibility into what active traders are focusing on in real time.

That doesn’t mean you should buy a token just because it is popular. We endeavor to filter out known honeypots and common scams but it is impossible to catch all dubious tokens. Moreover, the lifespan of new tokens can be extremely short. Mindshare is a powerful tool but is not a foolproof solution.

When combined with traditional indicators, however, such as market cap and trading volume, Mindshare can be helpful in identifying new tokens that are on the rise.

# Referrals

How Cielo's referral program works

Cielo operates a referral program that rewards you for introducing friends and followers to the platform. Simply share your ref link to earn a portion of the fees paid by each referred user based on their trading volume\*.

Referral rewards are paid out in SOL and can be claimed directly on the [Referrals](https://app.cielo.finance/referrals) page.

In addition to earning through referring new users, you can earn SOL rewards based on your own Cielo trading volume.

### &#x20;How Referrals Work

When you’re logged into the Cielo web app, click the top right tab showing the icon of the web wallet you’re connected with. Then from the menu that appears, click [Referrals](https://app.cielo.finance/referrals).

The Referrals page shows data that is unique to your Cielo account including the following metrics:

* **Total Earned (SOL)**: Amount earned to date from referrals
* **Affiliate rate**: This starts at 10% and rises based on reaching various milestones (see below)
* **Total Cashback Points**: These are earned from your trading volume, with Pro and Whale plan users earning a 1.5x and 2.5x multiplier respectively. Cashback points are converted to SOL on a monthly basis and distributed to Cielo users based on their total trading volume.
* **\*Ref volume calculation:** referral rate is applied to *net trading fees* generated by user. In this case would be total trading fees - user cashback.

### Claim and Share

The Claim and Share section of the Referrals portal is where you can find your personal ref link and claim any SOL you have earned to date. Your ref link is unique to you and can be shared publicly on X, Telegram, and elsewhere.

Copy the ref link displayed in **Share** or click **Share on X** to start sharing your link with your friends and followers.

<figure><img src="/files/HOJbFjY8PPcLaWaf0iWx" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Milestones

Whenever you reach a new milestone, you will be rewarded with a 5% increase in your affiliate rate. Keep trading in the Cielo web app and referring new users to maximize your earnings.

At the bottom of the Referrals page, you can view a detailed list of all users you have referred to Cielo including the date they joined and the total SOL you have earned from each user to date.<br>

# Multi

The tl;dr on new tokens that have been gaining traction

Even the most hardcore traders have to step away from the screen in order to work, rest, and play. As a result, it's impossible to catch all of the opportunities that are out there.

**Multi** supplies a synopsis on the most important tokens that took off while you were away. It highlights tokens that have proven popular by wallets you're tracking within the last 30 days. This allows you to get up to speed without needing to scroll back through your Feed.

More than just a "Here's What You Missed" reel, Multi allows you to quickly zero in on tokens that have reached escape velocity and which may have further still to run.&#x20;

In addition to helping you gauge which Solana tokens have proven popular over the last few hours, Multi is useful in helping to gauge emerging narratives. This enables you to identify trends and look for new tokens that align with this narrative.

### How It Works

**Multi** displays Solana tokens that are popular with wallets you're tracking. Use the four primary filters to control the tokens that you're shown:

* **Wallets**: Number of wallets that have purchased a particular token
* **Timeframe**: Time period for which results are displayed. Setting a lower timeframe will show tokens that have been swapped only within this period.
* **MC**: Minimum market cap of the token.
* **Min USD**: Minimum volume of swaps made by wallets you're tracking.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/rkEs8UBW3jPrngRc9hUZ" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Feed

Your Cielo feed is available in two display modes, selectable from the left menu: Classic or Lite. **Classic** is the original layout, in which all transactions are shown chronologically by wallets you're tracking. [**Lite**](https://app.cielo.finance/lite) is a condensed feed that focuses on token swaps only. It incorporates a Filters menu in the right sidebar where you can configure results based on Network, Swap Size (USD), Token, or List.

Your feed displays recent transactions (tx) from wallets you’re following. Each row represents an onchain tx and is enhanced with labeling and links to aid your understanding.

A typical entry might show the wallet (*Address or ENS or .sol*) tx type (*Swap*), network (*Arbitrum*), protocol (*Uniswap*), tokens exchanged (*ETH>USDC*), tx value ($800), and elapsed time since the tx occured (*2 mins ago*). For NFTs a thumbnail is also shown.

Upon loading your feed, you will see a pinging blue dot at the top. This denotes that a web sockets connection is active that will continually refresh your feed whenever new transactions are delivered. Click the audio icon alongside the blue dot if you'd like to receive an audible alert whenever your feed updates. This is helpful when you're browsing or trading in other tabs and want to learn instantly whenever a new alert arrives.

<figure><img src="/files/udJ8sZE1y3ru3iEOTjpt" alt=""><figcaption><p>Classic feed</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/DmChnehqz1VefsO2wLd9" alt=""><figcaption><p>Lite feed</p></figcaption></figure>

## Reading your feed

A single transaction looks like this:

<figure><img src="/files/ITw4kvdKwhs8WoIpEkRY" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Or if a wallet makes a series of related transactions within a short timeframe, Cielo will cluster them:

<figure><img src="/files/Bm9jgKA62nAFZdtMqAde" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Click on the name or label assigned to a wallet (e.g. *dolgame.eth*; *Major Airdrop Receiver*) to open a new page for that wallet profile. For example, [**this**](https://app.cielo.finance/profile/0x9683495e5bbd30d741eddd3f972d7ae5188423b2) is the wallet profile for *0x96...23b2,* labeled here as *Ski Dog 6.*

<figure><img src="/files/Y09II7zdlr0dWLHYNmZt" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The wallet tags show that this user is extremely active onchain. If you enable Telegram alerts for this wallet, you'll receive a lot of notifications by default. You can resolve this by clicking the **Edit** icon for this wallet and selecting **Alert Settings**.

<figure><img src="/files/uIpAIGekM9ozyY3lUgMn" alt="" width="353"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Learning more

Cielo displays multiple data points for each tx that appears in your feed. Click on the icons, wallet name, and other metadata to learn more.

<figure><img src="/files/92F9W4mg7qSjU00wrwdq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In the above transaction, the following actions are available:

**Wallet Name** *(Alfa354)*: Click to open wallet profile page

**List** (*AlfaDAO*): Click to open the list containing this wallet

**Wallet Address** *(0xec)*: Click to copy the address to clipboard

**Token Icon**: Click to view recent market data for this token and chart (You can change your default chart provider in [Settings](https://app.cielo.finance/settings))

**Timestamp** *(7 mins ago)*: Click to open blockchain explorer link

If you see a rocket icon displayed beside a tx, it means it’s the first time the wallet has traded this particular token:

<figure><img src="/files/hK7CMngP3HG02xLQLZTj" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Depending on the transaction, other information displayed may include include the tx type, number of tokens swapped, token price, and total tx value.

###

<br>

# Filters

By default, your feed displays the latest tx from all the wallets you’re following. Use the side menu to filter results. These allow you to focus on a specific list, use case, network, tx type, and size.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/6pFcPZCuJcR0XME8T6g6" alt="" width="321"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Network:** Filter to display tx from specific networks. You can make multiple selections.

**Transaction types**: Filter to display specific tx e.g *Swaps*. You can make multiple selections.

**Token Search:** Enter a token or NFT name e.g. *ARB* or select from the Top Tokens popup. You can make multiple selections.

**Amount USD**: Enter a minimum tx value between 1 and 250,000 (USD).

**Lists**: Filter to show wallet activity from specific lists you're following.

Using these options, you can set multiple filters that will determine the tx shown in your feed. After enabling filters, click **Save** and enter a label to store these settings for future use e.g. *New Swaps on Blast >$10K*.

Any time you wish to reset the filters you’ve applied, click **Clear all**.

To load saved filters, click the **All activity** tab and scroll to the bottom of the list to view your selections.

## Summary

Your Cielo feed is a powerful tool for viewing onchain transactions and making sense of them at a glance. These could be your own trades, those of influencers you’re following, or of an entire sector you’re trying to monitor e.g. DeFi.

# Discovery

Your Cielo feed is only as good as the wallets it contains. [Wallet Discovery](https://app.cielo.finance/wallet-discovery) *(Pro+Whale)* helps you identify valuable wallets and follow them in one click.

# Wallet Discovery

In Wallet Discovery, wallets have been filtered into tags based on trader type e.g. *Gem Finder, New Wallet, Human-Operated* and are ranked by realized PnL. Note that these are broad categorizations since a wallet will typically fall into multiple categories.

The more successful a wallet's trading activity for the timeframe covered (1, 7, or 30 days), the higher it will rank. Wallet Discovery also reveals when a wallet was last active. Use the right sidebar menu to filter results by wallet type, network, and tags. Click the USD button at the top of the page to toggle between displaying wallet balances in crypto or USD.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**: The wallets featured in Wallet Discovery are updated every 10 minutes on average based on the trading performance of the wallets Cielo has indexed. As a result, this leaderboard can be expected to change frequently.
{% endhint %}

Click the columns at the top of the wallet leaderboard to filter by PnL (i.e profit) or Winrate. Click **Follow** to add a particular wallet to your feed.

<figure><img src="/files/eouVaU9NA7u9Jty3fjfI" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Click the columns at the top of the wallet leaderboard to filter by PnL (i.e profit) or Winrate. Click **Follow** to add a particular wallet to your feed.

# Public Lists

Public lists are themed wallet lists that have been created by Cielo users. Anyone can view and follow a public list. You can also create and share your own public lists.<br>

<figure><img src="/files/zAUkDmBAnhQDvHXNdFms" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**: The wallets contained within a public list count towards the total number of Cielo wallets you can follow. If following a particular list will send you over your maximum wallet threshold, you will receive an alert.
{% endhint %}

## Browsing public lists

The public list explorer automatically filters results by popularity. Hit the **Trending** tab at the top of the leaderboard to filter by date added. There’s also a search bar: type in *NFT* for instance and related public lists will appear.<br>

The list explorer displays the following information alongside each entry:

**Public List Name**: Applied by the list creator. The creator may optionally include their Twitter handle.

**Description**: Short summary applied by the list creator.

**Wallets**: Number of wallets the list contains.

**Followers**: Number of Cielo users following the list.

**Last Update**: Time since the creator last edited the list.

## Adding a public list

Any Cielo user can create a list and set it to public. Doing so will make it visible to other users via the Explore Wallets page and generate a unique URL that can be shared. Learn more about creating lists [here](/wallet-tracking/my-wallets/lists).

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**: Setting a list as public does not reveal any information about its creator. Your wallet address will not be visible and there will be no personal details shown unless you chose to add your Twitter.
{% endhint %}

\
Public lists are a great way to glean how other people are using Cielo and to gather ideas of your own. They also provide a quick way to fill your feed with interesting tx and monitor the types of trades that are taking place onchain every day.<br>

# Tracking

[**Tracking**](https://app.cielo.finance/tracking) is your mission control. It’s where you add, edit, and delete wallets and lists. It’s also where you control the Telegram/Discord alerts you receive for wallets and lists you’re following.

## Adding Wallets

Click **Add Wallets** in the top right to add a wallet to your Cielo feed. You can add an Ethereum address, Solana address, ENS, or .sol.

<figure><img src="/files/PwZ5m8PbmfX0k2idsxtZ" alt="" width="351"><figcaption><p>Add Wallets popup</p></figcaption></figure>

\
Enter the wallet address and add an optional label for identification e.g. *Vitalik*. If you wish to add and configure Telegram/Discord bot alerts for the wallet, select **Alert Settings** and follow the instructions. Here you can specify notifications based on tx type, chain, and minimum USD value for swaps. You can also check the **New Trade Alerts** box to receive an alert when the wallet trades a token for the first time – see [below](#new-trade-alerts) for more information on this feature.

## Editing Wallets

Tick the checkbox at the top of the page to select all wallets or select individual wallets and make edits to them. You can also use the tabs at the top of the **Tracking** page to filter wallets by list, type, chain, and whether they are currently unassigned to a list.

<figure><img src="/files/qBCiRo3dGff2Ixz5JVVB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

After selecting one or more wallets, click the pencil icon to make edits. When you're done, click **Save Changes**.

You can alternatively select all wallets within a specific list. To do so, click the **Lists** tab at the top of the page and select the desired list. Then tick the **All Wallets** box.

When you have selected the wallets you wish to bulk edit, click **Alert Settings** or **Token / NFT Filters** *(Pro+Whale)* at the bottom of the page.

\ <br>

# Wallet Profiles

Click on the label or address of any wallet that appears in the Cielo web app and it will open the wallet profile in a new tab like this:

<figure><img src="/files/SRm4XsfMmkj7tNlpuLXw" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The URL for the wallet profile is <https://app.cielo.finance/profile/> followed by the wallet address. In this example, it's <https://app.cielo.finance/profile/3tc4BVAdzjr1JpeZu6NAjLHyp4kK3iic7TexMBYGJ4Xk>

You can load the wallet profile for any of the networks Cielo supports by entering its address after /profile/ in the same manner or by clicking on the wallet address in the web app.

The header shows metadata for the wallet in question including the label, address, list, and balance. For EVM wallets, clicking the dropdown tab alongside the balance will display ETH held on all EVM networks Cielo supports (or BNB for BNB Chain). The header may also display various tags that help to categorize its trading behavior.

* To edit the wallet, including its label, list, and alerts, click the pencil icon in the right of the header.
* If you believe the wallet's transaction data is inaccurate or has failed to load correctly, click **Restore** to reload its historical data.
* If you are the wallet owner and wish to publicly prove that you own the wallet, click **Link X**. You will then be asked to sign a message with your web wallet to proof ownership and then to connect your X (Twitter). Your wallet profile will then display your X handle. You can edit this name if desired and can later unverify your wallet profile if you wish to renounce ownership.

### Wallet Tabs

In the wallet header, the wallet profile displays the following tabs:

<figure><img src="/files/kQhx9hPdq2jysV8ZL3OE" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **PnL**: Shows realized profit made by this wallet and for Pro + Whale users also shows unrealized profit.
* **Feed**: Shows the latest transactions made by this wallet. You can filter results using the tabs at the top of the page (*Chains/Transaction types* etc)
* **Portfolio:** Shows current tokens held by this wallet and aggregate balance/
* **Stats**: Available to Pro + Whale users. Provides a detailed breakdown of trading activity and behavior for this wallet.
* **Hyperliquid**: This tab is displayed for EVM wallets and is available to Pro + Whale users. Displays Hyperliquid activity including PnL and current positions.
* **Related Wallets**: Shows wallets that have most frequently interacted with this user. These wallets may be controlled by the same user or they may be exchange addresses.

# Renames

Renames let you label any wallet address with a custom name and emoji without adding it to your tracked wallets. Think of it as a personal wallet address book.

There are many addresses you may want to recognize but don't need alerts for: CEX wallets, deployers, smart contracts, LP addresses, or high-volume wallets that can't be tracked. Renames gives you a way to label these wallets so you can identify them wherever they appear across Cielo.

#### Renaming a Wallet

You can rename a wallet from multiple places in the app:

* **Trades table** on the Trading Terminal: click a wallet address and select "Rename wallet"
* **Holders tab**: click a holder address and select "Rename wallet"
* **Top Traders tab**: click a trader address and select "Rename wallet"
* **Wallet profile page**: click the edit icon next to the wallet address
* **Renames tab** on the Tracking page: click the edit icon on any existing rename

When you rename a wallet, a modal will appear where you can:

* Select an **emoji** to visually identify the wallet (optional)
* Enter a **label** of up to 50 characters
* Click **Save**

Renaming a wallet does not add it to tracking. If you also want to track the wallet and receive alerts, use the separate "Add to Tracking" option.

#### Where Renamed Labels Appear

Once you rename a wallet, the custom label and emoji replace the raw address everywhere that wallet appears in Cielo:

* Trades table (Trading Terminal)
* Holders tab
* Top Traders tab
* Feed cards
* Wallet profile pages

This works across all chains.

#### Renames Tab

The **Renames** tab on the Tracking page is where you manage all your labeled wallets. The table displays:

| Column             | Description                                                                 |
| ------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Wallet** | Emoji + custom label + truncated address. Click to open the wallet profile. |
| **Rename Time** | When the label was first set. |
| **Native Balance** | SOL, ETH, BTC, or SUI balance depending on the chain. |
| **Total Profit** | All-time PnL in USD and percentage. |
| **TXs**            | Total transaction count.                                                    |
| **Last Active** | Time since the wallet's last onchain activity. |

All columns are sortable. By default, the table sorts by newest rename first.

**Actions available on each wallet:**

* **Add to Tracking**: promotes the wallet to full tracked status with alerts and filters
* **Copy address**
* **Delete**: removes the rename (does not affect tracking if the wallet is also tracked)

**Top bar actions:**

* **Search**: filter by name or address
* **Delete selected**: select multiple renames and delete them
* **Remove All**: clear all renames (requires confirmation)

#### Renames vs. Tracked Wallets

Renames and tracked wallets are independent. You can rename a wallet without tracking it, track a wallet without renaming it, or do both.

|                              | Renamed wallet | Tracked wallet |
| ---------------------------- | -------------- | -------------- |
| Custom label + emoji         | Yes            | Yes            |
| Alerts and notifications     | No             | Yes            |
| Filter settings              | No             | Yes            |
| Appears in Feed              | No             | Yes            |
| Counts toward tracking limit | No | Yes |
| Label visible across app | Yes | Yes |

If you rename a wallet and later add it to tracking, the label persists. If you remove it from tracking, the rename still exists in your Renames library.

#### Limits

You can rename up to **1,000** wallets per account. Renames do not count toward your tracked wallet limit.

# New Trade Alerts

Available to Pro and Whale users, New Trade Alerts enables you to receive an alert whenever a wallet you're following trades a particular token for the first time. To enable this feature, in **Tracking** click the edit icon alongside a particular wallet and then click the tab marked **Alert Settings**. (Alternatively, select all wallets on a page or within a list and then click the **Alert Settings** button to make bulk edits.)

For the wallet(s) selected, click the **New Trade Alerts** switch to activate this feature. In the **Wallet Info** tab, make sure you have assigned the wallet(s) to a particular bot. You will now receive a bot alert whenever the selected wallet(s) trades a particular token for the first time.

<figure><img src="/files/gPRKhuDbIteuIGQzLYLr" alt="" width="351"><figcaption><p>Toggle the New Trade Alerts switch to activate this feature</p></figcaption></figure>

Some users also like to be alerted when a wallet they're tracking **sell**s a new token for the first time. This feature can be enabled for New Trade Alerts. To do so, go to [Advanced Settings](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/advanced) and check the box marked **First Sell Alerts**.

# Token Filters

Cielo allows you set alerts when a wallet you're following trades specific tokens or NFTs *(Pro+Whale).* That way you can receive a notification when wallets swap particular tokens you're interested in and screen the rest of their onchain activity.

To set an alert, in **Tracking** click the filter icon for a particular wallet or select all wallets if you want to batch add a token alert.

<figure><img src="/files/rA1z2IXOkFEjRtz89zkK" alt="" width="367"><figcaption><p>Click the filter icon on the right to add a token alert</p></figcaption></figure>

In the popup window that appears, enter the token address and chain for each token alert you wish to add. You can enable up to 10 unique token alerts per wallet.

# Exclusions

(Pro + Whale)

Cielo lets you exclude specific tokens or contracts from triggering alerts. This is useful when a token or contract keeps generating noise transactions you don't want to be notified about, for example a rewards contract that sends tokens back to users, or a token you're no longer interested in tracking.

Unlike Token Filters, which control which assets you *do* want alerts for, Exclusions block a specific address entirely, no matter which role it plays in the transaction (sender, receiver, pool, router, or the token itself).

To set an exclusion, go to **Tracking > Exclusions**.

In the **Add exclusion** field, select the chain and paste the token or contract address you want to exclude, then click **Add**. You can exclude addresses on Ethereum, Base, Solana, and Robinhood.

Once added, the exclusion applies automatically across all your tracked wallets, you don't need to configure it per wallet or per alert.\
\
You can add up to 200 exclusions, and remove any of them at any time from the same list.

# Lists

{% embed url="<https://youtu.be/eLys6l4vDSk?si=z-mjW3oHqKAjdF9n>" %}

Your Cielo feed can be likened to a music player, populated with a diverse collection of sounds. Cielo lists are your playlists for managing all this music 🎶

In just a few clicks, you can create a themed list and populate it with wallets. This makes it easier to focus on specific ecosystems, networks, and use cases

* Cielo Free users can create up to 5 lists
* Whale/Pro subscribers can create 10/20

You can also enable Telegram or Discord bots to receive list alerts. You can choose to be notified of all tx made by wallets within a list or types of tx that meet your criteria e.g. *Swaps on Blast*.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**: By default, any list you create in Cielo is private and visible to you only. To share a list, change it to Public. This will allow it to be viewed by anyone.
{% endhint %}

To create a list, visit [My Wallets](https://app.cielo.finance/my-wallets) and select **Add List**.

<figure><img src="/files/QKG2KySHSvfEf0VxFkgO" alt="" width="353"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Give your list a name e.g. *Banana Gun Snipers* and add an optional description. Tick the box if you would like to make your list public so that it is visible to other Cielo users. By default, your list is set to private and can only be viewed by you. Click **Create list** to complete the process.

To add wallets to a list, tick the wallets you wish to add and then select the button at the bottom of the page titled **Add to List**. Select a list from the dropdown menu that appears and hit **Save Changes.**

To edit the name, description or status of a list, select it from the Lists tab and then click the edit icon beside the list name.

<figure><img src="/files/nvRXBboM70ChA0yPyXWF" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To edit the wallets within a list, load the list in **Tracking** and then tick the wallets that you wish to edit. This allows you to remove wallets from the list and to configure alert settings for these wallets. To bulk edit all of the wallets in a list, tick the checkbox at the top of the page:

<figure><img src="/files/DAibXJOiNMcfVuOM7bnZ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If you are following a public list created by another user, the only edits you can make to it concern bot notifications. For example, you can specify the tx types and wallets within the public list that generate Telegram/Discord alerts.

If a list has been set to public, you can share it by clicking the share icon that appears alongside it:

<figure><img src="/files/3HHLoFazNUMRSb972PFm" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

\
To permanently delete a list, load the list in **Tracking** and then click **Delete**.

<figure><img src="/files/OwBrY2hEPPrCHoEy5FCo" alt="" width="350"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If you choose to retain the wallets within the list, they will remain in your Cielo feed and will revert to *Unassigned*. You can subsequently add these wallets to a new or existing list if desired.

# Bundles

<figure><img src="/files/WIHqvOVrsVxm1vaEzaKZ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

A lot of serious traders split activity across multiple wallets. Following them one address at a time means you're always seeing an incomplete picture. Bundles fix that. Group up to 20 addresses together and treat them as one: one PnL view, one feed, one set of stats.

#### **Creating a bundle**

Start from the sidebar, the Bundles tab on the Tracking page, or directly from any wallet profile by clicking the plus icon near the avatar. The fastest path is the My Wallets tab: select a few wallets and a Create Bundle button appears in the toolbar.

Name it, add up to 20 addresses, and label each wallet if you want. The same address can appear in multiple bundles.

#### **Inside a bundle**

There are five tabs. PnL shows combined performance per token (realized PnL, ROI, cost basis) with the usual 1D, 7D, 30D, and All-time filters. Feed merges every transaction from every wallet into one chronological stream, with each entry showing which address it came from. Portfolio adds up total holdings across all wallets by token. Stats gives you aggregate numbers: tokens traded, win rate, volume, average hold time. Addresses lists each individual wallet with its balance, PnL, and last active time. Click any to open its full profile.

#### **Managing bundles**

Edit any time to rename, add or remove wallets, or update labels. Bundles live in both the Tracking page and the sidebar.

# Bulk Edits

You can edit multiple wallets to save time. This allows you to bulk edit Telegram/Discord alerts for all of the wallets you're following or a subset of wallets. For instance, you can enable Telegram alerts for *Swaps over $100* or for *NFT Mints on Base*. You will still be able to see all of the onchain activity for these wallets in your Cielo feed but will only receive bot alerts for tx that match your criteria.

To make a bulk edit, click the checkbox in the top left of the screen. This will select all wallets on the page. To select all wallets that you're following, click **Select all XXX of your wallets**:

<figure><img src="/files/QyLg3O4xcAs4YUdEZF6J" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Bulk Import

<figure><img src="/files/RMumfjD66ehyu34XjCww" alt="" width="349"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Select Add Wallets and click **Bulk Import** to upload multiple wallets as a CSV (spreadsheet) file. Place the wallets you wish to import in column one and an optional label for each wallet in column two. Commence upload and your wallets will be uploaded within a couple of minutes on average. You can also assign all imported wallets to a specific list or apply alert filters to them, saving you from having to edit each wallet individually in **Tracking.**

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** **Alert Settings** only applies filters to your Telegram or Discord bots. It does not filter the tx that appear in your Cielo feed. To change the default view for your feed, use the tabs at the top of the Feed page.<br>
{% endhint %}

If you wish to add multiple wallets at once, select **Bulk Import** and you can upload a CSV file. Wallet addresses should be placed in column one and an optional label for each one should go in column&#x20;

# PnL Leaderboard

The PnL Leaderboard ranks all wallets you're following by trading performance, making it easy to spot your best-performing traders at a glance.

*Wallets you're following ranked by PnL, volume, and trades.*

<figure><img src="/files/P4e09cOOr4SE9rtcilkS" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Each row in the table shows:

* **PnL** — total realised profit or loss in USD
* **ROI** — return on investment as a percentage
* **Win Rate** — percentage of trades that closed in profit
* **Buy Volume** — total USD value of buy transactions
* **Sell Volume** — total USD value of sell transactions
* **Trades** — total number of transactions
* **Tokens** — number of unique tokens traded

Use the **Lists** filter to focus on a specific group, the **Chains** filter to narrow by blockchain, and the timeframe selector (**6h, 24h, 7d**, and more) to adjust the period. All columns are sortable and filterable.

# EVM-SOL Mapping

EVM–SOL Mapping automatically identifies the cross-chain wallets of traders you're already following. If a wallet you're tracking on EVM has bridged funds to Solana (or vice versa), Cielo detects this and links their corresponding wallet on the other chain.

*Wallets you're tracking that have activity on another chain (EVM to Solana or vice-versa).*

<figure><img src="/files/aQdjsUHYXehqSj9Co1VN" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The table shows:

* **Tracked Wallet** — the wallet you're already following
* **Linked Wallet** — the wallet Cielo has identified as belonging to the same trader on the other chain
* **Bridge Volume** — total USD value moved between the two chains
* **Txs Count** — number of cross-chain transactions

# Research Agents

The [Research Agents](https://trading.cielo.finance/agents/research) page lets you spin up a watcher that pings you the moment a specific onchain pattern fires. Pick a trigger, tune the filters, point it at a Telegram bot or Discord channel, and the agent does the watching so you can focus on the trade.

Each agent does one job: it watches the chain for a specific signal and posts an alert when it fires.

{% hint style="info" %}
Research Agents work alongside your existing Cielo alerts. You can route each agent to a different Telegram bot or Discord channel so the signals stay sorted.
{% endhint %}

### Creating an agent

From the Research Agents page, click **Make an agent** (or **Make my first agent** if you don't have any yet). The wizard walks you through five steps:

1. **Trigger** - Pick which onchain pattern should fire this agent.
2. **Filters** - Tune the trigger. Each trigger has its own filter set.
3. **Output** - Pick a Telegram bot, a Discord channel, or both. You need at least one to continue.
4. **Name** - Give the agent a short label so you recognise it at a glance.
5. **Preview** - Review the configuration and see a sample alert. Click **Activate agent** to go live.

Once active, the agent runs immediately and starts posting to your chosen channels.

### Available triggers

* [**CEX Fresh Buy** ](/wallet-tracking/research-agents/cex-fresh-buy)*(Whale)* - brand-new CEX-funded wallet bought above $1k on its first token
* [**Fresh Wallet Buy** ](/wallet-tracking/research-agents/fresh-wallet-buy)*(Whale)* - newly funded wallet accumulates a token
* [**Your Wallet Funded a New Wallet**](/wallet-tracking/research-agents/your-wallet-funded-a-new-wallet) *(Pro+Whale)* - a tracked wallet funds a fresh wallet
* [**KOL Cluster Buy** ](/wallet-tracking/research-agents/kol-cluster-buy)*(Free)* - three or more verified KOLs buy the same token in a chosen timeframe
* [**FOMO Cluster Accumulation**](/wallet-tracking/research-agents/fomo-cluster-accumulation) *(Whale)* - three or more FOMO-app smart-money wallets net-accumulate the same token in a chosen timeframe
* [**Top Holders Supply Change**](/wallet-tracking/research-agents/top-holders-supply-change) *(Pro+Whale)* - the top-20 holders' combined share of supply moves by ≥X% in a rolling window (fires on both accumulation and distribution)

### Popular starting points

The Research Agents landing page surfaces three quick-start cards at the bottom: **Your Wallet Funded a New Wallet**, **CEX Fresh Buy**, and **KOL Cluster Buy**. Clicking any of them opens the wizard pre-loaded with that trigger.

### Output channels

In the **Output** step, pick where alerts should publish.

* **Telegram**: choose one of your Cielo Telegram bots from the dropdown. Free users have one bot, Pro users two, Whale users get more. See [Telegram](https://docs.cielo.finance/discord-+-telegram-bots/getting-started) for setup.
* **Discord**: click **Connect** to link your Discord. See [Discord](https://docs.cielo.finance/discord-+-telegram-bots/discord) for setup.

You need at least one channel selected. Leave the other one empty to skip it.

### Coming soon

A few triggers are visible in the wizard but tagged **Soon** and not yet live:

* **Dormant Awakening** *(Pro+Whale)* - a sleeping wallet trades again
* **Strong Floor** *(Pro+Whale)* - price holds while holder count rises

The **Templates** and **Activity** tabs on the Research Agents page are also coming soon. Templates will let you spin up agents from saved configurations, and Activity will give you a feed of everything your agents have fired.

# 🌱 Fresh Wallet Buy

Whale Plan

A freshly funded wallet (regardless of funding source) starts accumulating a token. Wider than **CEX Fresh Buy** because it catches wallets funded by other wallets, bridges, or anything else, not just exchanges.

Fires the moment a fresh wallet's cumulative purchases of a single token cross your USD threshold.

# 💳 CEX Fresh Buy

Whale Plan

A brand-new CEX-funded wallet makes its first buy of size on a token. Someone pulled money off an exchange, set up a wallet, and immediately bought, which usually means real new demand rather than recycled supply.

Fires when a wallet funded from a centralized exchange in the last 7 days commits at least $1,000 USD to a single token. The buy is locked in as the wallet's first on-chain trade.

# 👥 Top Holders Supply Change

(Pro+Whale)

The top-20 holders' combined share of a token's supply shifts by your chosen percentage in a rolling window. Direction-symmetric, so it fires on both accumulation (group adding) and distribution (group dumping). Catches quiet supply moves that don't show up as a single big trade.

# ⭐ Dynamic Holders Tracking

(Whale)

Watch any token's top holders in real time. The agent pings on their buys, sells, sends, and receives.

What makes it dynamic: the agent follows the supply. When a tracked holder sends tokens to a new wallet, that wallet automatically joins the tracked set. They can move the bag around, but you'll still see where it lands.

# Custom Alerts

The [Custom Alerts](https://app.cielo.finance/custom-alerts) page allows you to create Telegram/Discord alerts for token swaps and other onchain events. In just a few clicks you can enable notifications for:

* Trades of a particular token
* New token trades by a specified number of wallets *(Pro+Whale)*<br>

<figure><img src="/files/Id4uXati6c4JoztusOrn" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To create an alert, click **Create** and in the pop-up window enter the desired settings. If you’re setting a token alert, you need to enter the contract address, minimum swap value, and network. Then select your preferred Telegram bot or Discord channel and click **Add Alert**.

<br>

# Multiple Wallet

If you’re creating a **Multiple Wallet** alert (MWA), select this option from the dropdown menu and then specify the number of wallets. Choose five wallets, for example, and you will receive an alert when five wallets you’re following trade a particular token for the first time. By default, all networks Cielo supports are enabled for this feature, but if you prefer you can enable Multiple Wallet alerts for one network only. You can also select specific lists to apply Multiple Wallet alerts to and can choose a timeframe too, from 1-24 hours.

* Select **1 hour** and you will *only* receive an alert if X wallets have purchased that token within the last hour.
* Select **24 hours** and you will receive an alert if X wallets have purchased that token at any time in the last 24 hours.

Multiple Wallet alerts will appear like this:

<figure><img src="/files/EGt6KR7Q5TuJhBUkzp2Z" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You will receive an alert when a minimum of **two** wallets have purchased a particular token within a 24-hour period. The more wallets you follow, the greater the frequency of the Multiple Wallet alerts you are likely to receive.

Each alert displays the number of wallets you're following that have purchases the token, their average purchase price, and total volume.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
You can create more than one Multiple Wallet Alert and assign each one to a different bot.
{% endhint %}

# Token Swap

oken Swap allows you to receive an alert any time a swap of at least $1,000 is made for a particular token. Just enter the token's contract address, network, and minimum swap size and you'll receive an alert any time an onchain trade is made that meets this criteria.

Token Swap is available on the following networks: *Solana, Ethereum, Base.*

For tokens that are deployed on multiple networks, such as USDC, you will only receive an alert for tx on the network you have specified. Similarly, where there are multiple versions of a token deployed on one network, such as USDC, you will only receive an alert for tx that match the contract address you have entered.

<figure><img src="/files/HpfXAk1w4UAC6nUOnXc6" alt="" width="375"><figcaption><p>Creating an alert for ARB token swaps</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
Cielo enforces a minimum $1,000 threshold for tokens you're tracking. This is to prevent your feed and bots from being overwhelmed by alerts.
{% endhint %}

# Insights

Cielo's insights dashboard provides an overview of the most popular tx types, tokens, and networks used by wallet addresses you're following.

Insights gives you an overview of the activity for addresses you're following. It aggregates all of the recent transactions for your feed based on activity in the last 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. Click the tabs in the top right of the stats page to cycle through timeframes.

<figure><img src="/files/TKVISOkMMPhloXxef1BL" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**: The Insights dashboard is only available to Whale users.
{% endhint %}

Click on the dropdown menu titled **Lists** to filter results for a specific list you're following. This could be a list you've created yourself or a public list by another Cielo user. The insights dashboard shows blockchain activity, transaction activity, and token flows. It also shows NFT activity.

Insights offers the following dashboards:

* **Token Flows:** Shows buy and sell volume for popular tokens made by wallets you're following.
* **New Token Accumulation**: Shows the aggregate buys for new tokens made by wallets you’re following.
* **Wallet Leaderboard**: Filters wallets you're following by PnL. This is ideal for identifying the top performing traders in your network.
* **EVM-SOL Mapping:** Tracks the flow of funds between EVM chains and Solana and vice-versa for wallets you're following.

# Portfolio

[**Portfolio**](https://app.cielo.finance/portfolio/spot) displays the balance and dollar value of Solana assets you hold in your Cielo trading wallet. It also reveals PnL, allowing you to view trading performance over time.

There are two tabs within the Portfolio page, both of which provide information on the Solana trading wallet(s) you are using within the Cielo web app: **Spot** and **Wallets**.

### Spot

Spot provides PnL information on the Solana trading wallet you have currently selected. This includes your 30-day PnL, unrealized PnL, and total value of Solana tokens held in the wallet. Click the options on the right of the page to change the timeframe from the default 30 days to 1 or 7 days.

Further down the page, you will find **My Positions**. This section shows tokens that are currently held in your wallet. Click Orders and History to view your previous trades in more detail.

<figure><img src="/files/bLpMRpepMZYcdvitpveI" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Wallets

[**Wallets**](https://app.cielo.finance/portfolio/wallets) displays information on the Solana trading wallet you are currently using. Here you can access controls pertaining to this wallet including the ability to export the private key and to activate or deactivate the wallet.

<figure><img src="/files/hPZJvN9jFa5KTTLYruYZ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
Should you choose to export your private key, be careful not to share with anyone or store it in a manner that might allow a third party to access it (e.g. in the cloud). Cielo does not have access to your trading wallet and you are solely responsible for its management and for backing up the private key.
{% endhint %}

**Wallets** also enables you to generate new Solana trading wallets by clicking the button marked **Generate New Wallet**. With multiple wallets created, you can toggle between them to choose which one is enabled at any given time as your default trading wallet.

The Solana wallet you have active is always shown in the top right of the web app like this:

# Cielo Web Extension

The Cielo extension makes it easy to add wallets without interrupting your web browsing.

The Cielo web extension is available as a browser plugin for Chrome and Brave. It can be used to quickly add wallets to Cielo as you’re browsing the web. When using a web3 app such as Etherscan, the Cielo extension superimposes one-click buttons alongside wallet addresses.<br>

**Add Wallet**: Click to add the wallet to your Cielo feed.

**Profile**: Click to view the wallet profile page in Cielo.

<figure><img src="/files/mgow9bTDBPdE43hLKM8i" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Compatible with EVM and Solana addresses, the [Cielo extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/cielo/nbmknhhenedcdaodehlbpfanpmgkjaeg) makes it easy to add wallets without interrupting your web browsing. The extension is free to use and works with your existing Cielo account. So long as you’re signed in to Cielo, the extension will import wallet addresses in one click. In the Cielo web app, you can then assign a wallet label and add it to a list if desired.

# Hyperliquid

Cielo has the most advanced Hyperliquid alerts in the space. Track any wallet and you'll see how much of their account is in each trade, so you can read their conviction. Catch their TWAPs in two messages instead of fifty. Know the second they reverse a position or get close to liquidation. Here's what you get:

#### Alerts

Alerts hit Telegram, Discord, and your feed:

* **Fill alerts:** opens, increases, closes, liquidations, and reversals. Each one shows how much of the wallet's margin is in the position. Covers HIP-3 perps too, so tokenized stocks like NVDA and TSLA show up next to crypto.
* **TWAP alerts:** one when it starts, one when it ends. The sub-fills in between stay hidden.
* **Imminent liquidation alerts:** fire when a position is within 2% of its liq price, with distance, leverage, and size.
* **Ledger alerts:** deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and staking. Bridge transfers read as Hyperliquid deposits or withdrawals, not a generic "Transferred."
* **Order alerts:** limit orders placed, cancelled, or triggered, if you turn them on.

You set all of this per wallet across eight filters: direction, size, coin, action type, and more. Available on Pro and Whale.

#### Insights

Tracking and Insights go hand in hand. You track wallets to catch their moves one at a time. Insights shows you where all of them stand at once, so you can see how everyone's positioned without opening each wallet.

* **List positioning:** pick a tracked list and see what everyone in it holds, long versus short, on one screen.
* **Consensus trades:** the coins your list agrees on most, ranked by how many wallets are on the same side.
* **Standouts:** who's up the most, who's down the most, and who's closest to getting liquidated.

Insights is a Whale feature. From here you can open any wallet's Hyperliquid profile to see everything about a single trader: their positions, trade history, and account health.

# FAQ

If you're experiencing an issue with Cielo, read the Frequently Asked Questions to identify a solution. If you're still stuck, contact support.

<details>

<summary>What's the difference between My Wallets and Custom Alerts?</summary>

My Wallets is where you create alerts for specific wallets you're following. Custom Alerts is where you create general alerts based on all the wallets you're following.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why aren't I receiving alerts?</summary>

There are typically three reasons why you might not be receiving bot alerts:

1. You haven't assigned alerts to a specific Telegram bot or Discord channel.
2. You've set a minimum USD filter so aren't receiving alerts below this threshold.
3. You've deselected certain EVM networks so aren't receiving alerts for tx on these chains.

If you’re not receiving Telegram or Discord alerts, go to **Settings** > [**Advanced**](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/advanced) and make sure you have at least one Telegram or Discord bot activated. Flick the toggle switch to blue to activate a Telegram bot.

Next, go to [My Wallets](https://app.cielo.finance/my-wallets) and select the wallets you wish to receive alerts for. Click the edit icon beside the wallet or select all and click **Alert Settings**. Make sure that alerts are being sent to the Telegram bot or Discord channel you’ve activated under settings.\
\
Finally, click on **Transaction type filters** and make sure you’ve enabled alerts for the tx you wish to see. Ensure that you haven't set a USD minimum or deselected certain networks.

Remember, the number of Telegram/Discord alerts you can receive is capped at 120 per hour for Free users and 1,000/3,000 for Pro/Whale. If you hit this limit, alerts will temporarily be halted but will resume at the start of the next hour.

<br>

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why are Telegram alerts delayed?</summary>

Due to the limits of Telegram's architecture, high user demand can occasionally max out the capacity of bots such as Cielo wallet trackers. While this issue quickly corrects, it can cause temporary delays in receiving alerts or for alerts to drop out altogether.

To solve this, Pro and Whale users can create custom Cielo bots that are exclusive to their use. This provides a more reliable alert stream and overcomes the limitations inherent to using public Telegram bots. Find out how to create a custom bot [here.](https://docs.cielo.finance/discord-+-telegram-bots/telegram-custom-bot)

</details>

<details>

<summary>I’m receiving too many alerts</summary>

Go to [My Wallets](https://app.cielo.finance/my-wallets) and select all wallets or select the wallets that are sending too many alerts. Click Alert Settings and adjust the filters. There are several ways to reduce the number of alerts you receive:

1\. Set a minimum USD tx value. This will filter out low value tx.

2\. Reduce the number of tx types you receive alerts for.

3\. Reduce the number of chains you receive alerts for.

4\. Disable alerts for wallets marked High tx that are particularly active.

<br>

</details>

<details>

<summary>What’s the difference between Premium and Private bots?</summary>

Tl;dr: Private bots are faster than Premium but can’t be added to groups or channels.

Premium is the name given to Cielo Telegram bots that are available to Pro + Whale users e.g. Cielo Premium Bot #1. While the alerts published by each of these bots is unique to the user, the bandwidth is shared. In other words, there might be 2,000 users accessing Premium Bot #1 concurrently.

Private bots allow Pro + Whale users to access the same service through a dedicated Telegram channel that is exclusively theirs. This should ensure more consistent alert delivery, since bandwidth isn’t at risk of being consumed by other users. While there is no obligation to use private bots, it is recommended that Pro + Whale users do so.

There are just two disadvantages to private bots: unlike regular Cielo bots, they can’t be added to groups

<summary>How do I view my connected wallet in Telegram?</summary>

To view the wallet connected with your Telegram account, open the Cielo Telegram bot and press the menu button or type */menu*. Your wallet will be displayed at the top of the menu bar that appears. To change this wallet, visit [Settings](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/general) in the Cielo web app.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I work out which wallet I paired with my Cielo account?</summary>

If you’ve been signed out of the Cielo web app and have multiple wallets installed, it can be hard working out which one to connect to regain account access. To solve this, open any Cielo bot in Telegram and click the menu icon or type /menu and your connected wallet address will be displayed.

***Note**: If you used Phantom wallet to sign up to Cielo and have since disabled EVM within the wallet, this will account for why you can’t sign in to Cielo. Reactivate your Phantom EVM address to resolve this.*

<br>

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I pair my Cielo account with a different Telegram account?</summary>

If you need to change the Telegram account you’re using with Cielo, in the web app go to **Settings >** [**Alerts**](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/alerts) and where your current Telegram handle is displayed, select **Disconnect**. After logging in to Telegram with the account you wish to pair, refresh the web app and select **Connect** to complete the process.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why are there certain wallets that I can't follow?</summary>

Some wallets generate an extremely high volume of transactions. To prevent your feed and alerts from being overwhelmed with tx, you are unable to follow these wallets. Only a fraction of all wallets fall into this category, which typically includes bots and smart contract addresses for popular protocols.

Most of the wallets that cannot be tracked are bots which generate hundreds of tx within a single block. The more sophisticated bots route trades through proprietary closed source contracts, rendering them impossible to track.

We also take additional measures to exclude high volume wallets. For example, if a Solana wallet makes more than 3,000 txs per day, it is filtered from our system.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why is there a limit on the number of wallet profiles I can view?</summary>

To prevent our servers from melting, we're obliged to place a cap on the number of wallet profiles that can be viewed within a 24-hour period as follows:

* **Free**: 100
* **Pro**: 1,000
* **Whale**: 5,000

The vast majority of users will never hit this limit, but should this occur you will receive a notification. Your alert limit will reset 24 hours later, allowing you to start loading wallet profiles again.

You can check the amount of alerts you have used [here](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/alert-limits).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why can't I access full transaction data for certain wallets?</summary>

Cielo provides transaction alerts and PnL for hundreds of thousands of EVM and non-EVM wallets. However, with certain wallets providing full or even partial data is impossible. This is typically because the wallet in question is a complex MEV bot that routes trades through its own closed source contracts.

Some of these bots, which are operated by sophisticated teams, perform hundreds of trades within a single block. For this reason, it is impractical to provide transaction data or accurate PnL for these wallets.

<details>

<summary>How do I change the default charting tool?</summary>

By default, this is set to GeckoTerminal but Cielo supports multiple options. Go to **Settings** > [**Advanced** ](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/advanced)and select a different charting tool from the dropdown menu. Options include DEX Screener, DEXTools, and Photon.<br>

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I view the token contract address in swap alerts?</summary>

To enable this feature, go to **Settings** > [**Advanced** ](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/advanced) and check the box marked *Display Token Address in Alerts*. Now, whenever you receive a Telegram or Discord alert for a token swap, the smart contract address will be displayed and can be copied in one click.<br>

<details>

<summary>Where can I find wallets to follow?</summary>

The following resources can be used to find wallets and add them to your Cielo feed:

* [Public Lists](https://app.cielo.finance/public-lists)
* [Wallet Discovery](https://app.cielo.finance/wallet-discovery) (Pro+Whale)
* [Onchain Intrigue](https://t.me/onchainintrigue)
* [Etherscan](https://etherscan.io/) and other block explorers: filter tokens by top holders and add major wallets
* Dex Screener and DEXTools: In [Dex Screener](https://dexscreener.com/) click on **Top Traders** for a token, open the wallet in a block explorer and copy the address
* Twitter/Telegram: Follow accounts that share the wallets of top traders

<summary>How do I bulk edit wallets?</summary>

In [My Wallets](https://app.cielo.finance/my-wallets), click the checkbox to the left of **All Wallets**. This will select all wallets on the current page. To select all of the wallets you are following, click on the text that reads "Select all XXX of your wallets."

Then click the button at the bottom of the page marked Alert Settings. Any changes you subsequently make will be applied to all of the wallets you have selected. To bulk edit wallets within a specific list, first select the list from the dropdown menu at the top of the page and then follow the instructions above.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I track tokens?</summary>

Go to [Custom Alerts](https://app.cielo.finance/custom-alerts) and select **Add Alert**. Enter the token address, select minimum swap value, and select the network.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How is PnL calculated?</summary>

PnL is a unit for measuring the net profit or loss recorded by onchain traders. Cielo calculates both Realized and Unrealized PnL for wallets.

* **Realized PnL** applies to tokens a wallet has bought and since sold, be it for profit or loss.
* **Unrealized PnL** calculates the value of the tokens a wallet is still holding based on their current market price.

Both realized and unrealized PnL can be viewed for wallet profiles, while Wallet Discovery ranks wallets on *realized* PnL only.

**Note**: While the basic formula for calculating PnL is simple, there are many variables that can affect the PnL that is displayed for a particular wallet. Due to the presence of honeypots (tokens that can be bought but not sold) and the complexities of blockchain architecture such as Solana, there may be occasions when Cielo is unable to accurately calculate PnL for a wallet. We are constantly working to improve our PnL calculation algorithm with the goal of providing accurate wallet PnL.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What data is utilized in generating the Popular Wallets tag?</summary>

Cielo assigns tags to certain wallets to support filtering for Wallet Discovery. The same tag is also displayed on the profile page of qualifying wallets. The Popular Wallets tag is added to any wallet that is being followed by more than 30 users on the Cielo free plan. Because Cielo uses aggregated data to generate this tag, information concerning the behavior of individual users is neither stored nor discoverable by other users. Moreover, aggregated Pro and Whale data is not used in the calculation of the Popular Wallets tag.

<br>

<details>

<summary>Chrome says Cielo is slowing my browser, what should I do?</summary>

Chrome may occasionally display a popup saying "This tab is using extra resources" and offer to make the Cielo tab inactive. Allowing this will interrupt your live feed and delay real-time alerts.

To prevent this, whitelist Cielo as Always Active in Chrome:

1. Go to **Chrome Settings → Performance**
2. Under **Always active**, click **Add**
3. Enter `app.cielo.finance` and confirm

Chrome will no longer throttle the Cielo tab, keeping your feed running instantly even when you're active in other tabs.

# Overview

Cielo provides Telegram and Discord bots that deliver real-time alerts for onchain transactions across dozens of blockchains.

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTE:** You can only connect *one* Telegram account to your Cielo wallet.
{% endhint %}

Bots can be set up within the Cielo web app or directly within Telegram. Once initialized, the bot will deliver a Telegram alert any time a tx occurs that matches your criteria. The Discord bot works in exactly the same way but must be configured within the Cielo web app.

Cielo bots allow you to monitor addresses and transaction types that are relevant to your interests while filtering out everything else. Tx are labeled to show the network, tx type, value, and protocol together with informational links.

{% hint style="info" %}
Because Cielo Telegram bots are integrated with Banana Gun, you can trade tokens instantly within Telegram. First create a [**Banana Gun bot**](https://t.me/BananaGunRegister_bot). You can then click the **Buy on Banana Gun** link displayed in Cielo Telegram alerts to instantly buy the token in question.
{% endhint %}

### Labeling

Cielo automatically labels tx involving known tokens, DEXs, lending platforms, NFTs, bridges, and other DeFi protocols. This makes it easier to understand which asset is being used by whom, where, and why. For instance:

<figure><img src="/files/gGgGBFOmqvXnDiqY6MXR" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **#DWFLabs**: *Wallet label*. Clicking this link will use Telegram search to produce a list of any other tx involving this wallet that your Cielo Wallet Tracker bot has recorded.
* **Transferred:** *Tx type*. This describes the nature of the tx. Clicking on this will open a blockchain explorer link to the smart contract that was interacted with.
* **#bnb**: *Network*. Shows the blockchain network where the tx originated.
* **Cielo**: *Cielo web app link*. Clicking on this allows you to view the tx in Cielo.
* **ViewTx**: *Blockchain explorer link*. Opens a link for the transaction hash.

To see Cielo bots in action, check the [Onchain Intrigue](https://t.me/CelsiusEVMTracker) channel. It's used for monitoring whales, hackers, VCs, and other market-movers.

Cielo bots enable to you to select, segment, and sort wallets and transactions to optimize the signal-to-noise. This will allow you to zero in on tx of interest and screen the rest.

{% hint style="info" %}
The Cielo bot can be used as a standalone application within Telegram or as a complement to the Cielo web app. Although it’s possible to configuree the bot within Telegram, you may find it easier to adjust settings within the Cielo web app. The Discord bot must be configured within the Cielo web app.
{% endhint %}

Cielo provides free users with one Telegram bot. Any wallets or tokens you enable alerts for will automatically be assigned to this bot. However, Pro + Whale members can access **two** and **six** bots respectively.

This allows you to map specific tx types to a specific bot. For instance, you could use one bot for your own wallets, another for NFT traders, and another for DEX whales.

To activate your Telegram bots, in the Cielo web app visit [Alerts](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/alerts).

To change which bot a wallet is assigned to, on the configure page, click the edit icon alongside the wallet name. In the popup that appears, click the dropdown titled **Telegram bot**. Pick a desired bot and then hit **Save changes**.

## Bypassing the Cielo web app

It's possible to use the Cielo as a standalone Telegram bot, without pairing it to the Cielo web app.

However it's recommended that you use the bot in conjunction with the Cielo [web app](https://app.cielo.finance). The app is free to use and its interface makes it easier to adjust wallet settings than doing so within Telegram. If you'd rather just use the Telegram bot on its own, however, read on.

To initialize the [Cielo Wallet Tracker bot](https://t.me/evmtrackerbot), open it in Telegram and press the blue **Start** button.

<figure><img src="/files/DdeWKJpH2mRteIWOLk6a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Press the blue menu icon to view wallet settings:

<figure><img src="/files/1p3sjIQmsWnWNIoXtFCZ" alt="" width="261"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The following options are displayed:

* **Add wallet or token**: Input the address and label for a wallet you wish to track or the smart contracxt address for a token.
* **List**: View all of the wallets that you're currently tracking. You can then click on the edit option beside each wallet to adjust its settings.
* **Menu**: View master menu that includes options for setting group and channel alerts.
* **Bot settings**: Opens options to disable bot or reset chat.

You can also control the Telegram bot by entering the following commands:

<mark style="color:blue;">/start -</mark> Initialize the bot

<mark style="color:blue;">/add\_wallet\_or\_token</mark> - Add new wallet or token

<mark style="color:blue;">/list</mark> - Get the list of all tracked wallets / tokens

<mark style="color:blue;">/add\_token \[chain\_name] \[token\_address] \[min\_amount\_usd]</mark> - Add a new token

<mark style="color:blue;">/bot\_settings</mark> - Open bot settings

<mark style="color:blue;">/delete \[wallet</mark>] - Delete wallet. You can specify multiple wallets separated by comma (e.g. /delete WALLET\_ADDRESS\_1, WALLET\_ADDRESS\_2)

<mark style="color:blue;">/help</mark> - View a list of all supported commands

### Adding a wallet

To add a wallet using the Telegram bot, click the blue menu icon followed by the top option that appears: **Add new wallet or token**.

<figure><img src="/files/mutUbJnosNpKymbt0EgT" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Then click the **Wallet** button and paste in the wallet address followed by a space and then an optional name for the wallet e.g. *My Trading Wallet*. By default, all of the chains that Cielo tracks are enabled. If you wish to disable alerts for any of these chains, just click the relevant button to disable the selection.

<figure><img src="/files/G7nOuCPRHvuaLyUY9z64" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

When you're done, click **Confirm**. You'll then see the following screen for controlling tx types:

<figure><img src="/files/UFpJqpbttvkYU3JHfVCC" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Click on a tx type you wish to disable and then hit **Confirm**. You will now see the following notification:

<figure><img src="/files/tiiJQ0BtAB1gFIMvAjCM" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

And that's it: you're now tracking your first wallet using Cielo's Telegram bot.&#x20;

### Adding a token

To start tracking a token, repeat the procedure described above but select the **Token** button. You will then see the following option:

<figure><img src="/files/CBwtWhVWsKQmgltoepgR" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Select your desired chain, enter the smart contract address for the token and hit return. You can find this in a block explorer or using a market data site such as [CoinGecko](https://www.coingecko.com/).

You will now be asked to set a DEX swap threshold. This is to prevent you from being overwhelmed with alerts for popular tokens.

<figure><img src="/files/D9uAbKg0TeNOBLHsecEe" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Enter a value (demoninated in USD) and press return or hit **Skip** if you wish to receive alerts for all swaps, regardless of size. You will now see the following notification:

<figure><img src="/files/yTToBOQz9AYVUX9xL6xs" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Editing wallets + tokens

To edit a wallet or token you're tracking, click the blue menu icon followed by the */list* option. This will produce a list of all wallets you're following.

<figure><img src="/files/GW8sxw2NaalKEfJZJsPo" alt=""><figcaption><p>In this example, the ARB token is being tracked.</p></figcaption></figure>

Click the blue edit link beneath the address to make an edit to the wallet or token. In addition to adjusting which chains and tx types are enabled (wallet) and the minimum tx size (tokens), you can disable alerts or delete the address altogether.

<figure><img src="/files/M305ljV2TveCAafByITY" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

&#x20;To re-enable alerts for a particular address, just repeat the process above and click the **Enable** button when prompted.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/gypSEwI5J1vBYxCgkpDW" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Alert settings

Pro and Whale users can opt to have market cap and liquidity information displayed in bot alerts for token swaps. To enable this, in the web app check the **Display Market Cap and Liquidity** button in [Settings > Advanced](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/advanced).

By default, Cielo Wallet Tracker alerts include a **Chart** link, where applicable.

<figure><img src="/files/Dq6PPAjFnrv3OIwPFwkB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Cielo allows you to choose which trading terminal you would like the **Chart** link to direct to. To adjust this setting, click the blue menu icon in the Cielo Wallet Tracker to pull up the main menu and then select **Alert Settings** followed by **Chart**.

<figure><img src="/files/FuQXLoyNnt53Q4Mlvcn3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Then choose which of the four available terminals you would like to use for charting and hit **Confirm**.

### Viewing contract address

\
To trade a token that is displayed in the Cielo web app or Telegram bot, the contract address is required. Upon pasting this into a DEX such as Uniswap or an aggregator like Dexscreener, you can trade the token in question. There are a number of ways to obtain the contract address:<br>

1\. Click the **ViewTx** link to inspect the transaction in a block explorer.

2\. Click **Chart** to view the tx in a platform such as Gecko Terminal.

3\. Enable one-click contract address copy within Telegram.

To enable the latter option when using the Cielo Telegram bot, select **Menu** > **Alert Settings** > **Show Token Address**. When activated, this displays the contract address with each tx alert, allowing you to trade tokens faster and on the platform of your choosing.

<figure><img src="/files/5TEn1aD8TGDMUcZhITNq" alt=""><figcaption><p>The contract address is shown in red.</p></figcaption></figure>

### Telegram trading with Banana Gun

Using Cielo Telegram bots, you can execute trades directly within Telegram with Banana Gun. Cielo has integrated Banana Gun allowing you to click the **Buy on Banana Gun** link that appears in Cielo Telegram alerts.

{% hint style="info" %}
***Disclaimer**: Trading tokens, particularly new memecoins, is risky as there is a high chance of financial loss. It is the responsibility of each user to research any asset they wish to purchase and to acknowledge the risks inherent to Telegram trading. Cielo has no control over the Banana Gun bot used for executing swaps and is not liable for losses incurred due to tokens losing value due to rug pulls and major sell-offs.*

*tl;dr DYOR.*
{% endhint %}

To enable Telegram swaps, create a [**Banana Gun bot**](https://t.me/BananaGunRegister_bot). You can then click the **Buy on Banana Gun** link displayed in Cielo alerts to instantly buy the token in question.

<figure><img src="/files/opzwqRcsLXyEoknJkDtm" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If you *don't* wish to see a Banana Gun link, you can disable this option in the [**Settings menu**](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/advanced) or within the Cielo Telegram bot menu by selecting **Menu > Alert Settings > Banana Gun**.

# Telegram Private Bot

Pro + Whale users can create private Telegram bots for more consistent alert delivery.

Cielo provides a number of Telegram bots that can be used to receive custom alerts. Free users can access **one** bot, Pro users **two**, and Whale users **nine**. These bots are accessed by all Cielo users who share a corresponding plan. Due to limitations in Telegram’s architecture, however, the demand placed on these bots can occasionally cause alerts to be dropped or delayed.

To resolve this, Cielo Pro + Whale users can create private bots that are exclusive to their personal use. This will ensure that alerts are delivered promptly and consistently. Just as experienced onchain users can create a custom RPC to access a faster blockchain connection, creating a private Cielo bot ensures a consistent alert stream.

{% hint style="info" %}
Private Telegram bots are available *in addition* to your existing Cielo bots e.g. if you are a Pro user, the two bots you currently have can now be complemented by two additional private bots.
{% endhint %}

## Creating a Private Bot <a href="#creating-a-custom-bot" id="creating-a-custom-bot"></a>

Creating a private bot is quick and easy. Here’s how:

1. Go to [BotFather](https://t.me/BotFather) on Telegram, click the menu button and select */newbot*
2. Give your bot a name e.g. *Cielo Private Bot 1*
3. Choose a username for your bot. This must be a unique name that is not currently used on Telegram and must end with ‘bot’
4. Copy the token that BotFather displays in red. It will read something like *7024425312:AGHJo0WgmLqkaWzMgxO7tdqhvXzxVUJQR2c.* **Note:** Do not share this token publicly or other users may be able to access your bot
5. Now visit the Telegram menu for an existing Cielo bot e.g. *Cielo Premium Bot #1* (The only bot this will not work with is the free bot titled *Cielo Wallet Tracker*)
6. After loading the main menu, select *Custom Bots* > *Add custom bot*
7. Paste in the API token you just created in BotFather
8. Repeat this process with as many bots as you wish to add
9. Click the menu button marked *Custom bots* to see a list of all private bots you have active
10. Open the Cielo web app, go to [My Wallets](https://app.cielo.finance/my-wallets) and you can start assigning wallets to your private bot(s).

<figure><img src="/files/KBVnDM7AzfRX8hj2Bf8b" alt="" width="375"><figcaption><p>Select "Add custom bot" from the menu of an existing Cielo Telegram bot.</p></figcaption></figure>

You can create as many private bots as your current Cielo plan permits. Visit [Alerts](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/alerts) in the Cielo web app and you will see all of your private bots listed.

Type */start* in your private bot to load the Cielo menu. You can also add private bots to Telegram groups and topics just as you can with a regular Cielo bot.

<figure><img src="/files/bjfU84RLIrn8V1SDMlpK" alt=""><figcaption><p>After creating a private bot, it will appear in <strong>My Wallets</strong> as a bot you can assign alerts to.</p></figcaption></figure>

To make it easier to keep track of your Cielo bots, including private bots, it is recommended that you create a dedicated Telegram folder and assign all bots to it.

{% hint style="info" %}
The alerts you assign to your private bot must be made using the Cielo web app. In every other respect, however, your private bot will operate as normal with the added bonus of greater speed and reliability.

# Telegram Groups + Channels

You can add the Cielo Wallet Tracker to any Telegram group you’re a member of (provided you have admin rights).

There are many reasons why this might be desirable:

* **NFTs**: If you’re flipping JPEGs with frens, add the bot to your group for notifications on major sales, floors, and influencer mints
* **DeFi communities**: Keep track of investor unlocks, foundation funds, treasury transactions and high value swaps for projects you’re involved with
* **Bull/bear signals**: Monitor major buy, sell, volume, and liquidity changes for tokens to gauge the mood of the markets
* **Memecoin trading**: Unsure if a newly created token is the next SHIB or shitcoin? Add the contract address to your bot and monitor where it goes from there
* **Ecosystem tracking**: Enter the addresses of major endpoints in one of the networks Cielo tracks and follow the money as it moves through bridges, DEXs, and lending protocols

### Adding to a group

To add the bot to a group you're a member of, click the blue menu icon in the [Cielo Wallet Tracker](https://t.me/EVMTrackerbot) channel and select */menu*.

<figure><img src="/files/nOBxSddXxiJawLVDKPrV" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Then click **Group Alerts** followed by **Add to group.**

Select your desired group from the Telegram popup that appears and that's it: you now have Cielo bot alerts in your Telegram alerts.

<figure><img src="/files/D5untjPfBGGVWORYJBZ1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To disable bot alerts within the group, just click **Group Alerts** followed by **Disable group messages**.

### Adding to a channel

If you run a crypto Telegram channel, you can add the Cielo Wallet Tracker bot to it. This will provide followers with alerts that are trelevant to the project or to tokens/verticals that your channel covers.

For instance, if you run a popular Telegram channel, you can program a Cielo bot to only push alerts when your onchain activity corresponds to the interests of your followers such as new token swaps. Alternatively, you could set up a whale trade channel that pushes an alert anyone someone swaps more than $500,000 of ETH onchain.

To add the bot to a channel, click the blue menu icon and select */main*. Then click **Group Alerts** followed by **Add to channel** and follow the instructions that appear:

<figure><img src="/files/9ETaaRl4yCL5qqEJNLM1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To disable bot alerts within the channel, just click **Channel Alerts** followed by **Disable channel messages**.

### Adding private bot to a group or channel

Pro and Whale users can create private bots for more consistent alert delivery as detailed [here](/discord-+-telegram-bots/telegram-private-bot). After creating a private bot, you can add it to a group or channel by inviting it as an admin.

After inviting the bot, type */setup\_bot* in the group or channel and you should receive a message informing you that the bot is now active. To remove the bot, delete it as a member of the group or channel. See [here](https://x.com/CieloFinance/status/1933554945938104631) for a full video guide on creating a private bot and adding it to a group.

To stop receiving alerts to a private bot, in the Cielo web app go to [**My Wallets**](https://app.cielo.finance/my-wallets) and from the Bot menu, select the private bot in question. You can then select all wallets and make bulk edits to alerts.

### Adding private bot to a group topic

Telegram lets you organize groups into sub-categories known as topics. To add a private bot to a specific topic in a group:

1. Go to the topic and type */setup\_bot*.
2. If you've added multiple bots to the group and want each bot to send alerts to a specific topic, you need to specify the bot's username in the command. For example, if the bot's username is *Cielo\_finance\_free\_bot*, use the command: */setup\_bot\@Cielo\_finance\_free\_bot.*

See [here](https://x.com/CieloFinance/status/1875232318089994740) for a full video guide on creating a private bot and adding it to a group topic.

# Discord

Cielo allows you to add a custom bot that will share notifications within a Discord channel. You can enable this feature and customize the bot using the Cielo web app. You will also require admin rights for the channel within the Discord server you intend to use. If the server owner is unwilling to grant you admin privileges within the Discord channel, you will be unable to connect a Cielo bot.

The bot does not require admin privileges to be added to a public channel: it simply requires the same permissions as an ordinary user, allowing it to post messages. To add the bot to a private channel, however, the bot requires admin rights.

<figure><img src="/files/EIAdeQp2JPW21DUyOGMi" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
If the owner of a Discord server is willing to allow a Cielo bot to be added to a channel, but does not wish to share admin rights, they can connect to the Cielo [web app](https://app.cielo.finance/) themselves and complete the process. Each Cielo user can access one Discord bot for free.
{% endhint %}

To activate a Discord bot, first make sure your web wallet is connected to [Cielo](https://app.cielo.finance/). In [Alerts](https://app.cielo.finance/settings/alerts), connect to Discord and select the server you wish to authenticate. Then return to Cielo, refresh the page and click the Discord icon again. You will now be able to select a channel within the Discord server you have connected to receive bot notifications.

<figure><img src="/files/RlIPQsMxaMEW0Avvj2sG" alt=""><figcaption><p>Discord activated within the Cielo app.</p></figcaption></figure>

## FAQ

* *How many Discord bots can I run?*

You can run a maximum of one Discord bot per Cielo account. This applies to all Discord servers that you may be a member of.<br>

* *How do I activate a Discord bot?*

Go to [configure](https://app.cielo.finance/configure), click the Discord icon in the top right, connect to Discord and select the server you wish to authenticate. Then return to Cielo, refresh the configure page and click the Discord icon again. You will now be able to select a channel with the Discord server you connected to receive bot notifications.

* *How do I choose which notifications are sent to my Discord channel?*

After linking your Cielo and Discord accounts, the next step is to assign specific lists or wallets to your Discord bot. You can do this in [configure](https://app.cielo.finance/configure) by clicking on the toggle icon for advanced list settings. Click the dropdown menu from the Discord Channel box, make your selection and hit Save changes.

* *How do I add a Cielo public list to my Discord channel?*

After following a public list, go to [configure](https://app.cielo.finance/configure) and select the name of the list from the dropdown menu. Then click the toggle icon for advanced list settings and enable Discord alerts.

* *How do I remove the bot from Discord?*

Go to [configure](https://app.cielo.finance/configure) and click the Discord icon in the top right. To remove the bot from the channel it is assigned to, click the trashcan icon alongside the channel name. To remove the bot from the Discord server altogether, click the trasjcan icon alongside the Discord server name.<br>

* *I’ve connected Cielo but transactions aren’t showing up in Discord.*

Have you double-checked that Discord is connected to Cielo, and that a channel within your chosen server has been specified? If you’re still not seeing transactions appearing, check the settings for any lists and wallets you have assigned to the Discord bot. In particular, make sure that you have not set a minimum USD transaction threshold to all wallets. This can result in the vast majority of tx being screened out. If you’re still not seeing Discord notifications, check the list you’ve assigned to the Discord bot and, on configure, click to filter it by Last Active. This will show you when a wallet within the list last made an onchain transaction.<br>

* *I am receiving too many Discord notifications*

To dial down the number of alerts you’re receiving, on configure select the lists or wallets whose activity is being sent to the Discord bot. Then click the toggle slider on configure to pull up advanced list settings and apply filters that will reduce the number of alerts you receive. For example, you can raise the minimum transaction threshold or filter out certain transaction types or networks. If you are still receiving too many notifications, reduce the number of wallets and lists that are paired with the Discord bot.

<br>

# Migrating Your Discord Bot

Cielo has recently upgraded Discord bots to improve user experience. The new system uses webhooks to support greater throughput and provides more consistent alert delivery. If you are an existing Cielo user, you will need to upgrade to the new Discord bot to benefit from this capability.

To migrate to the new Discord bot, open your Discord bot channel and enter the command */migrate*

Follow the prompts and click the link that appears asking you to approve the updated bot permissions. Once you’ve approved the permissions, return to Discord and enter the command */create\_webhook*&#x20;

And that’s it: you should have not upgraded to the latest Cielo Discord bot and can start enjoying better performance and enhanced features.

# Copy Trading

*This is a detailed guide to copy trading using Cielo as your primary tool for discovering, following, and copying wallets. Navigate this multi-part guide using the side menu or follow the links at the bottom of each section.*

{% hint style="info" %}
**Disclaimer:** Cielo guides are intended for educational purposes only. They do not constitute investment advice, nor do they address all of the risks that are inherent to crypto trading. {% endhint %}

Copy trading has evolved into a powerful crypto trading strategy that allows individuals to mirror the trades of experienced investors. This approach enables traders to benefit from the expertise of others, potentially leading to profitable outcomes without the need for extensive market knowledge.

Instead of spending countless hours analyzing charts, monitoring markets 24/7, or constantly reacting to price swings, copy trading means you can let the pros do the heavy lifting. With Cielo, this approach gets supercharged.

Whether you're new to crypto or just tired of trading emotionally, Cielo helps you trade smarter, not harder.

### How Copy Trading Works

Copy trading is all about replicating the moves of successful traders. Rather than come up with your own strategy, you can let someone else do the work and just copy-paste their success (automatically or manually).

#### **Copy Trading with Cielo**

1. **Discover Smart Wallets**\
   On Cielo, you can explore top-performing wallets using real-time onchain data. These might be whales, early buyers of hyped tokens, or wallets with strong ROI. Cielo has a dedicated Wallet Discovery [dashboard](https://app.cielo.finance/wallet-discovery) for this that Pro and Whale users can access.[<br>](https://app.cielo.finance/wallet-discovery)
2. **Follow Their Trades**\
   Once you've identified a wallet, you can enable alerts via Telegram or Discord. Anytime they make a move, you’ll be notified instantly.<br>
3. **Copy the Trade**\
   You can then manually copy their trade using your own wallet, or (if using a bot or automation tool connected to Cielo) replicate it automatically.<br>
4. **Track Performance**\
   Cielo gives you insights into a wallet’s historical trades, win rate, and profit trends. This lets you evaluate if their strategy fits your risk level.

\
In the next section, we'll examine **Risks and Considerations** to factor in when copy trading.<br>

# Risks and Considerations

While copy trading can be a powerful tool, especially when paired with Cielo’s insights, it’s not without its risks. Here are a few things to keep in mind before diving in.

#### 1. Don’t Blindly Trust Wallets

Just because a wallet has made smart trades before doesn’t mean they’ll always get it right. Strategies change, market conditions shift, and sometimes even skilled traders make bad calls. Always take time to review a wallet’s historical performance before committing.

#### 2. Crypto Moves Fast

A few seconds can make a big difference. If you're copying trades manually, there’s always a chance you’ll buy in too late and miss the best price, or worse, get caught holding the bag if the trader exits right after you buy in.

#### 3. Context Matters

You’re not just copying trades: you're copying decisions. But without knowing why someone bought a token, or what their exit plan is, you could end up copying half a strategy. That’s a recipe for confusion and potential loss.

#### 4. Automation Isn’t Foolproof

Setting up bots to copy trades can save time, but it also removes human judgment. Without filters or limits, you might:

* Over-commit to a single wallet
* Follow trades that don’t match your risk profile
* Get rugged by a compromised or malicious wallet

#### 5. Fake or Misleading Wallets

Some wallets might look successful on the surface but are actually:

* Involved in pump-and-dump schemes
* Faking volume through wash trading
* Operated by insiders or influencers trying to manipulate markets

Look for consistent ROI, steady activity, and avoid wallets that suddenly spike with unrealistic gains.

#### 6. Fees, Slippage, and Friction

Even on Solana, where fees are low, costs can add up, especially with rapid trades or illiquid tokens. Slippage, trading fees, and timing can all eat into your profits.

\
Mistakes to avoid when copy trading
-----------------------------------

**1. Allocating too much capital starting out**

When starting with copy trading it’s best to keep your amounts low to see which wallets are profitable and which are not.&#x20;

**2. Failing to monitor your copy positions**

Even when copying others, it’s important to keep track of the trades made. You can’t just buy a token and then forget about it.

**3. Copying wallets that have a very high trade frequency**

Wallets that trade a lot of coins are probably bots and can eat away at your balance. It’s best to find wallets that trade a comparatively low number of tokens but with a good winrate.

**4. Copying wallets that are already copying other wallets**

This will be sub-optimal because you will always have a higher entry price then the wallets before you, especially on high liquidity tokens. The slippage will also be higher because of this. You can however try to find the main source by digging into the token’s trade history using a block explorer.

**5. The risk of copying scam / farmer wallets**

These wallets intentionally create attractive trading patterns to lure copiers before executing exit scams. They may pump tokens, attract investors, then suddenly dump holdings, leaving copiers with heavy losses. Some also trade honeypot tokens that cannot be sold, permanently trapping your funds.&#x20;

**6. Choosing the wrong bot**

Copy trading relies heavily on automation. Selecting the right execution bot is crucial. This isn't just about functionality, it's about finding a tool that:

* Has an intuitive UI you're comfortable with
* Offers customizable settings for fine-tuning
* Balances execution speed with minimal fee costs<br>

## Considerations when copy trading

&#x20;

**1. Speed Matters, But So Does Precision**

* Delays in execution can cause major slippage or missed entries, especially in volatile markets.
* But going fast without precision leads to unnecessary losses.
* Prioritize speed with stability, especially during high-volume trading windows.<br>

**2. Fine-Tune Your Settings**

Pay close attention to:

* Slippage Tolerance (buy/sell side). Too tight and you’ll miss trades; too loose and you’ll overpay.
* Trading Fees: These stack up with high-frequency trades, especially in copy strategies where wallets make frequent small trades.
* Gas Settings (when applicable): Ensure optimal fee configs for smooth performance.
* Always double-check your parameters. One misconfigured setting can cascade into repeated bad trades.

**3. Track and Review Performance**

Once the bot is up and running:

* Monitor execution logs
* Check copy trade success rates
* Check ROI of copied wallet to your own

\
Adjust based on market behavior or your lead trader’s activity pattern

**4. Protect Your Capita**l

* Set maximum limits per wallet buying tokens (per hour/day/week)
* Set minimum required market cap to avoid fake tokens/scam wallet activity

\
\ <br>

# Strategies

1. **Diversification**

When copy trading, never just track one wallet at a time. It’s best to copy multiple wallets for a better statistical average and be subject to different trading styles.

2. **Liquidity**

Make sure to copy wallets that trade tokens with high enough liquidity. This ensures you are able to exit the position and don’t have too much slippage risk when entering the trade. Copying wallets that trade tokens with low liquidity can end up in large ROI discrepancies between you and the copied wallet. <br>

3. **Position Size**

Make sure your position size is adequate enough when copying a wallet as sometimes you have lots of open positions and you need to be able to continue buying. It’s also important to look at the amount of fees you spend on each of the trades, as when you want to be quick the fee is higher but this adds up after trading many tokens.

4. **ROI vs PNL**

It's crucial to distinguish between Return on Investment (ROI) and Profit and Loss (PnL). ROI measures percentage returns relative to initial investment, while PnL represents absolute dollar gains or losses.&#x20;

A wallet might show impressive PnL figures because of large position sizes, but have mediocre ROI. Conversely, a wallet with small positions might deliver excellent ROI percentages with modest PnL.&#x20;

Focus on ROI when evaluating a wallet's trading efficiency, but consider PnL when assessing potential impact on your portfolio. Remember that a wallet's historical ROI isn't guaranteed to continue, and smaller wallets often achieve higher ROI percentages that prove difficult to maintain as portfolio size increases.<br>

5. **Be Wary of Unrealistic Returns**

When evaluating wallets to copy, be skeptical of returns that appear exceptionally high. These performances might result from lucky timing on a few trades rather than consistent skill.

Some traders artificially inflate numbers through coordinated buying or self-trading between wallets to attract followers. Before copying, examine their complete trading history across different market conditions and analyze their win/loss ratio.&#x20;

Consider the tokens they've traded for potential manipulation signs. Remember that consistent, modest returns (5-10% monthly) maintained over time typically outperform flashy but unsustainable gains in the long run.<br>

6. **Wallets Already Copied**

Consider how many other traders are already copying the same wallet. Popular wallets with many followers can experience diminishing returns due to the crowding effect. As more people copy the same trades, entry and exit prices worsen for everyone, reducing potential profits.&#x20;

Additionally, widely-copied wallets may face issues when trading lower-liquidity tokens, as the combined buying power of all copiers can significantly move prices and increase slippage. Conversely, discovering skilled but less-followed wallets can provide an edge. These "hidden gems" may offer better execution with less competition, though they typically require more thorough due diligence. Strike a balance between validated performance (which attracts followers) and avoiding over-copied wallets where returns have already been diluted.

# Finding Good Wallets

Use the following resources to discover good quality wallets to copy trade.

#### 1. Cielo Discovery Page

Avilable to Pro and Whale users, Cielo’s built-in [Discovery page](https://app.cielo.finance/wallet-discovery) (trending) is designed for this exact purpose. Some key strategies here:

* Sort by PnL, ROI, or win rate to find consistently profitable wallets.
* Filter by chain (ETH, BSC, Base, Solana etc.)&#x20;
* Select a tag that you find interesting. (Human Operated, Gem Finder, High Winrate etc.)
* Look for wallets whose last trade was within the last 24 hours.
* Trace a wallet’s full trading history and see how often they win vs. cut losses.

#### 2. Cielo API

The [Cielo API](https://api-info.cielo.finance/) lets you build custom scripts to automate wallet discovery:

* Fetch trending wallets by for example Chain, PnL, Winrate, Hold Time, Last Trade.
* Analyze behavior over time
* Combine with Discord/webhook alerts to get notified when top wallets act.

#### 3. Blockchain Explorers (Etherscan, Basescan, Solscan etc.)

Classic but still very powerful. Some angles here:

* Look for wallets interacting with new tokens or contracts just deployed.
* Use token holders [pages](https://solscan.io/token/KMNo3nJsBXfcpJTVhZcXLW7RmTwTt4GVFE7suUBo9sS#holders) (top 100 holders of a memecoin) and trace their other trades.
* Also useful for confirming if a wallet is trading manually or via a smart contract/bot.
* When found, you can open these wallets in Cielo for review.

####

#### 4. Token Order Books on CEXs

Not directly onchain, but can be a signal source:

* Track tokens that just got listed on major CEXs (e.g., Binance, KuCoin).
* Backtrace wallets that were active just before the CEX listing – they’re likely well-connected.
* Use CEX data + DEX data to see wallets that profit from arbitrage or pre-listing pumps.
* Bonus tip: Check wallets that interact with bridge contracts or liquidity deployments just before listings.

####

#### 5. Smart Money Trackers (Arkham, Nansen, DeBank, Zerion, Chainedge)

These tools already analyze wallets for you. Specific things to do:

* Use Arkham Intelligence to identify funds or whale wallets.
* Use Nansen's “Smart Money” tags to find early buyers, yield farmers, and DEX traders.
* Use DeBank to see full wallet portfolios and yield positions.
* Filter by activity e.g. wallets that do $X in swaps per week.
* Use ChainEDGE to track elite on-chain traders and replicate profitable strategies.
* Alpha Hunter&#x20;
* Dune dashboards

####

#### 6. Telegram/Discord Alpha Groups + Bot Channels

These are goldmines.

* Join groups on Telegram that share wallet addresses when a call hits. You can find groups for example in the channel of well-known copy trade bots.
* Use bots like DexScreener, DexTools, and CieloBot to track real-time buys/sells.
* Build a system to log addresses mentioned in groups, then analyze trade histories.<br>

#### 7. Token Sniping Bots

Some wallets are clearly sniping newly deployed contracts.

* Identify first wallets to buy new tokens with low gas (they likely used a bot).
* Backtrace contract deployments and pair creations using DexScreener or TokenSniffer.
* Wallets sniping low-liquidity pairs early are high-risk, high-reward and could be copy trade gems but the potential of losing funds by copying these wallets is significant.

*Only copy sniping bots if you are experienced and understand the risk you’re taking on.*

**8. Copy Wallets of Known Influencers**

Some influencers trade publicly from known wallets:

* Find ENS names or promoted trades on their X/Twitter profiles.
* Use DeBank or Cielo to trace their trades.
* Cross-reference with Cielo to see if they're actually profitable.

## Using Cielo wallet tags to find quality wallets<br>

What kind of wallet do you want to track? And for what purpose? Depending on your answer, there are multiple ways to approach this. Whatever your answer, Cielo's wallet tags will help you identify wallets that align with your copy trading goals. Some of these tags help to identify the type of trader behind the wallet. Certain tags can also flag suspicious trading behavior and you should be aware of the risks that come with tracking them.

The following tags can be found on the Cielo profile page for the wallet in question and are also on the Wallet Discovery [page](https://app.cielo.finance/wallet-discovery), where you can search by tag e.g. *Gem Finder.*<br>

**Human-Operated:** Wallet is not controlled by a bot, but by a real human. We carefully check the trading behavior of these wallets in Cielo before adding this tag. There are patterns that indicate that this is not a trading bot.&#x20;

**Gem Finder**: A wallet that made a 2x profit on 30% of all tokens bought. A Gem Finder is known for his exceptional ability to only select a very good performing set of assets. Only if 30% of all tokes trades are with 100% profit will we qualify you as Gem Finder.

**High Win Rate**: Win rate is higher than 75%. This is a very high win rate, and is particularly hard to maintain over a longer period of time/amount of trades. At some point, the higher the win rate goes, the more cautious you should be. A wallet that shows a 90%+ win rate over a serious amount of trades it likely too good to be true and should be treated with caution.

**New Wallet**: First transaction made by the wallet was 14 days ago or less. This wallet could be operated by a new identity or it could be an old one that wants a clean sheet. New wallets can be made easily and disguise any previous trading decisions. These wallets are unlikely to be tracked by a huge number of people initially, so following them can be an advantage.

**Airdrop Hunter**: Target wallet has received at least 5 different airdrops. Airdrops are awarded to users who have shown conviction in early projects. For example they invested money, or participated on a testmet and were airdropped tokens when the mainnet launched. Wallets with this tag are likely to be proficient with interacting with new protocols and tokens.

**Multichain**: Wallets that have made transactions on at least 5 chains. Because these wallets are operated by users who are proficient at navigating the cross-chain landscape, following their moves and keeping tabs on the related wallets found in their Cielo profile can be useful in identifying alpha and new opportunities.\
\
**High Leverage Trader**: This wallet has 5 or more perpetual transactions where the leverage was 5x or greater. For those who have a bigger appetite for risk, or wish to amplify the potential returns from their limited capital, perpetual trading can be attractive. Proceed with caution when engaging in leveraged trading, however, as it's easy to be liquidated and lose all your capital.

**NFT High PNL**: This wallet has more than 30 ETH realized profit on NFT trading.

**New Whale:** New wallet based on wallet age (or low transaction count) that buys over $80k worth an altcoin. Such a wallet is operated by a trader willing to put a significant amount of money on the line and with the potential to move markets, especially for low-cap tokens that are less liquid.

**High Volume Dex Trader**: Total DEX trading volume is over $10m. This wallet has been trading significant volume on a DEX, in trade amount or trade size. Take a good look at the numbers under Bought/Sold to identify if the wallet in question is worth tracking for you.

**Popular Wallet:** Over 30 Cielo users are tracking this wallet. Target wallet has been found by multiple users of our platform who have added it in their list for tracking.&#x20;

**Flipper:** Indicates that the wallet trades a high number of tokens and sells them promptly to realize quick profits. A wallet with the Flipper tag will be trading on a high frequency but not necessarily with huge amounts. However you will see a high number of tokens traded on a daily timeframe. If you're thinking of copy trading them, be wary of the amount of trades per token because if this number is also high, things multiply exponentially resulting in high fees.

**MEV:** Maximal Extractable Value wallets can maximize profits by optimizing transaction order, timing, and execution. For example they can perform Sandwich Attacks, Liquidation Sniping, and exploiting Arbitrage (trade price difference over multiple exchanges).

**Sniper**: Average token hold time is less than 2 minutes. You'll often find a wallet with great PnL and ROI stats. If the average hold time for all tokens traded is less than 2 minutes, however, it's likely achieved by sniping. Target wallet is always first to buy specific tokens,and sells them within 2 minutes. The wallet probably has inside information and uses bots to buy and select which launches are good to snipe. Time is of the essence in this case, and it's unlikely you will achieve similar results buying the same token manually.

### Choosing Your Path

Each wallet type offers a unique entry point into the world of crypto copy trading. Whether you’re drawn to the speed of bots, the instincts of early movers, or the steady hand of experienced traders, understanding these wallet archetypes will help you identify the right kind of trader to copy.

<br>

# Monitoring and Refining

Copy trading isn’t a set and forget strategy. To maximize your results and minimize risks, it’s essential to regularly monitor your performance and make adjustments as needed. Here’s how you can track, review, and optimize your copy trading activities:

### 1. Execution Logs

As you start copy trading, make a habit of checking your execution logs-think of them as your trading bot’s diary. These logs show every trade made for you, including when and how it happened, the amounts, prices, and the platform used. They also reveal if a trade succeeded or failed, and why. (like not having enough funds or sudden market changes). Plus, you’ll see the transaction fees, which can add up over time. By reviewing your execution logs, you’ll understand your real results, spot issues quickly, and make smarter trading decisions.

### 2. Copy Trade Success Rates

Think of yourself as a coach reviewing your team’s performance after each game. You keep score by tracking your win/loss ratio, seeing how many of your trades ended in profit versus loss. But you don’t stop there, you also compare your moves to the star player you’re copying. Are your results matching theirs, or is there a gap in accuracy? Sometimes, you notice a trade you should have made never happened at all. Maybe your bot missed it due to network congestion or a wallet hiccup. By watching these details, you learn not just how often you win, but how closely you’re following the lead and how to improve your game next time.

### 3. ROI and Performance Metrics

When you’re copy trading, it’s important to regularly check how your investments are performing. Start by looking at your total ROI to see how much you’ve gained or lost overall. Break it down further by reviewing the ROI for each trade or over specific periods, this helps you spot which trades or strategies are working best. Finally, compare your results to those of the lead trader you’re copying by simply opening both token PnL pages in Cielo from you and your target.&#x20;

### 4. Wallet and Portfolio Health

To keep your copy trading on track, it’s important to watch how your wallet and portfolio are changing. Pay attention to your SOL and token balances before and after you start copy trading, so you can clearly see your gains or losses. By regularly reviewing how much of your portfolio is tied up in different assets or strategies, you’ll be able to spot any imbalances and make smarter decisions about where to adjust your approach.

### 5. Risk Metrics

Keeping an eye on risk is just as important as tracking profits. Watch for drawdowns, which show you the biggest drops your portfolio has experienced from its highest point. Pay attention to volatility, or how much your portfolio’s value moves up and down, so you’re not caught off guard by sudden swings. Finally, make sure you’re not putting too much of your funds into a single wallet, token, or strategy. By monitoring these risk metrics, you can better protect your investments and make more balanced decisions as you copy trade.

### 6. Lead Trader Activity

It’s important to keep an eye on the activity of the lead trader you’re copying. Notice how often they make trades. Some traders are very active, while others trade less frequently. Pay attention to any changes in their strategy or the types of assets they focus on; a sudden shift might affect your results. Also, check if their performance remains steady or starts to become unpredictable. By staying aware of your lead trader’s habits and consistency, you’ll be better prepared to react and make adjustments if their performance is no longer fit.

### 7. Market Conditions

Keep an eye on overall market trends to understand if your copy trading results are following the broader market. Also, check if your portfolio is too closely linked to just one coin or sector, as this can increase your risk.

### How to Adjust

* **Reallocate Funds**: Move your capital between different wallets or strategies based on performance.
* **Change Lead Traders**: If a wallet’s performance drops or their strategy changes, consider switching to another leader.
* **Adjust Copy Settings**: Change trade size, risk parameters, or frequency based on your observations.
* **Pause or Stop Copy Trading**: If market conditions are unfavorable or you’re not satisfied with results, don’t hesitate to pause or stop trading.

### Tools and Features to Use

# Risk Management

Entering the world of crypto copy trading, it’s easy to be drawn in by stories of rapid wealth and overnight success. The allure of quick riches is powerful, fueled by headlines and social media posts showcasing extraordinary gains. However, the reality of crypto markets is far more complex. Markets are highly volatile, and even the most promising strategies can be upended by sudden price swings, news events, or shifts in market sentiment. Setting realistic expectations is crucial in understanding that while significant gains are possible, they are not guaranteed, and losses are a natural part of the trading journey.

### What You Can and Cannot Control

As a new trader, it’s important to recognize the limits of your influence in copy trading. You can control aspects such as the amount of capital you invest, the wallets or strategies you choose to follow, and how you manage risk through tools like stop-losses and position sizing. You can also control your own discipline-sticking to your plan, avoiding impulsive decisions, and continuously learning from both wins and losses.

However, you cannot control the broader market environment, including price movements, regulatory changes, or the actions of other traders. Recognizing the difference between what you can and cannot control helps you approach copy trading with a clear, grounded mindset, reducing the risk of frustration and disappointment as you learn and grow as a trader.

### Understanding Market Volatility

Cryptocurrencies are notorious for their dramatic price moves, often shifting by double-digit percentages within hours or even minutes. This volatility is driven by a combination of factors:

**Supply and Demand**: Many cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin, have a fixed or limited supply. When demand rises-due to news, adoption, or speculation, prices can surge rapidly. Conversely, when demand drops, prices can plummet just as quickly.

**Market Sentiment**: Crypto markets are heavily influenced by news, social media, and investor emotions. Positive news can spark buying frenzies (FOMO), while negative headlines can trigger panic selling (FUD).

**Liquidity and Market Maturity**: The crypto market is still relatively young and less liquid than traditional financial markets. Large trades by “whales” or sudden shifts in market participation can have outsized effects on prices.

### How Volatility Impacts Trades

Given the rapid and unpredictable nature of crypto price movements, even the most sophisticated trading strategies cannot guarantee consistent wins. Market volatility means that external events such as breaking news, regulatory changes, or large trades can override even the most robust technical or fundamental analysis. This unpredictability introduces risk into every trade, making it essential for traders to manage their exposure, use risk management tools like stop-losses, and accept that losses are an inherent part of crypto trading.

### Learning from Experience

Every trade, whether it ends in a win or a loss, provides valuable lessons. Losses, in particular, can be powerful teachers. They reveal weaknesses in your strategy, highlight emotional triggers, and force you to review your decision-making process. Experienced traders often view losses as a real-world education in the markets: lessons that can’t be learned from books alone. By analyzing why a trade went wrong, you gain insights that help refine your approach and build resilience for future challenges.<br>

### The Myth of the Perfect Trader

It’s important to understand that no trader, no matter how skilled or experienced, wins every time. Even the most successful wallets and top traders experience setbacks and losing streaks. The difference between long-term success and failure is not the absence of losses, but the ability to learn from them, adapt, and maintain discipline. Accepting that losses are a natural part of trading helps you avoid unrealistic expectations and fosters a healthier, more sustainable approach to the markets

### The Role of Research and Due Diligence

While copy trading allows you to mirror the actions of experienced traders, simply copying trades without understanding the underlying strategies can be risky. When you know why a trader makes a certain move, whether it’s based on technical analysis, market trends, or news events, you gain valuable context that helps you make better decisions and adapt when market conditions change. This deeper knowledge also allows you to assess whether a trader’s approach aligns with your own goals and risk tolerance, making you a more informed and confident trader.

Not all trading strategies or wallets are created equal, and some may promise returns that are unrealistic or unsustainable. Common red flags include promises of guaranteed profits, oversized returns in a short period, or a lack of transparency about how trades are executed. Be wary of wallets or traders who refuse to share their reasoning, have anonymous or unverifiable backgrounds, or whose performance seems too consistent without any losses. Always conduct thorough research, review historical performance, and look for signs of manipulation or fraud before committing your funds. Remember, if something seems too good to be true in crypto trading, it often is.

### Risk Management Basics

One of the most fundamental rules in crypto trading is to never risk more than you can afford to lose. This principle also applies when it comes to position sizing: determining how much of your capital to allocate to each trade based on your risk tolerance and overall strategy. By limiting the amount you invest in any single trade, you protect your portfolio from significant losses and ensure you can continue trading even after a setback.

Diversification further reduces risk by spreading your investments across different cryptocurrencies and sectors. This approach helps mitigate the impact of poor performance in any single asset or market segment, balancing stability and growth potential in your portfolio.

Stop-loss orders are essential risk management tools. They automatically close your position if the price moves against you by a predetermined amount, helping you limit losses and protect your capital. Take-profit orders work similarly, locking in gains by closing your position when the price reaches your target. Together, these tools help you manage risk, enforce discipline, and avoid emotional decision-making in volatile markets. Regularly reviewing and adjusting these orders as market conditions change is key to maintaining effective risk management over time.

### Time Horizon and Patience

In copy trading, you can follow both short-term traders and long-term holders. Short-term traders make frequent, rapid trades, aiming for quick profits but facing higher risk and volatility. Long-term traders hold positions for extended periods, seeking steady growth through major trends. Your choice depends on your risk appetite and how active you want to be.

### Emotional Discipline

Chasing hype or quick gains (FOMO and greed) can lead to impulsive decisions, like switching traders or copying risky strategies. This often results in losses and undermines your plan.

A clear, disciplined copy trading strategy protects you from emotional swings. Staying consistent and avoiding impulsive moves leads to more stable, long-term results. Stick to your plan and don’t chase every trend.<br>

### Conclusion

Success in copy trading is about more than chasing profits. It's about embracing the learning process and the ups and downs along the way. By focusing on steady progress and continuous improvement, you set yourself up for long-term growth rather than short-term wins.

The crypto market is always evolving, and so should you. Continuous learning helps you adapt to new trends, refine your strategies, and make better decisions as you copy trade. Stay curious, keep analyzing your results, and never stop exploring new ways to grow your skills. The journey itself is where the real value lies.

# Fees and Other Costs

When starting with copy trading, understanding the different fees and costs involved is essential for managing your expectations and maximizing your returns. While Solana is known for its low transaction fees, there are still several types of costs you should be aware of when using copy trading bots and platforms.

### 1. Transaction Fees

Every time your bot or platform copies a trade, a small transaction fee is charged by the Solana blockchain. These fees are much lower than on most other blockchains, often just a fraction of a cent per transaction. This is one of the main reasons Solana is popular for active trading and automation.

### 2. Bot and Platform Fees

Most copy trading bots and platforms have their own fee structures, which can vary widely.

* **Subscription Fees**: Some bots require a monthly or yearly subscription to use their services.
* **Performance Fees**: Others might take a percentage of your profits, only charging you when you make money.
* **Per-Trade Fees**: Some platforms charge a small fee for every trade executed on your behalf.

It’s important to review the specific fee schedule for the bot or platform you choose. These fees can add up over time, especially if you're copying many trades or using advanced features like faster execution speed.

### 3. Settings and Customization

Bots often offer different settings that can affect your costs. For example, you might be able to adjust the frequency of trades, the size of each trade, or the number of wallets you follow. More frequent trading or following multiple wallets can increase your total transaction fees. Always consider how your settings might impact your overall costs.

### 4. Token Account Rent

On Solana, every token account (including those created by copy trading bots to hold new tokens) requires a small amount of SOL to be locked up as "rent." This isn’t a fee in the traditional sense, because you can get most of it back by closing unused token accounts later. However, it does temporarily tie up some of your funds, so it’s good to be aware of this when managing your portfolio.

### 5. Refunds and Cost Recovery

One unique advantage of Solana is that when you close a token account you no longer need, the rent you paid is refunded to your wallet. This means you can recover some of your costs simply by cleaning up unused accounts. Many platforms, and even dedicated tools like Sol Incinerator, make it easy to close accounts and reclaim your SOL.

### 6. Hidden and Indirect Costs

Don’t forget about indirect costs such as slippage (the difference between the expected price and the price at which a trade is executed), or the opportunity cost of holding certain tokens. These can affect your overall returns, even if they aren’t listed as explicit fees.

## Understanding token rent on Solana

On the Solana blockchain, rent is a system that ensures users don’t use up too much storage for free. Every account that stores data on Solana has to keep a minimum balance of SOL that depends on how much data it stores. This is called “rent,” but it works more like a refundable deposit than an ongoing fee.

Think of Solana’s rent system like renting a storage locker:

* If you want to store a few boxes, you pay for a small locker.
* If you want to store furniture, you need a bigger locker and pay more (bigger rent deposit).
* As long as you keep paying, your stuff stays safe.
* If you empty your locker and close your account, you get your deposit back<br>

In case you're wondering, here's why this system is used on Solana:

**Deposit, Not a Subscription**: Unlike paying rent for an apartment every month, Solana’s rent is a one-time deposit. As long as you keep enough SOL in your account, you don’t lose any money over time. When you’re done, you can “close your locker” and get your deposit back.<br>

**Encourages Efficient Use**: Just as storage facilities want to avoid people leaving empty boxes in lockers forever, Solana’s rent system encourages users to clean up unused accounts. If you don’t keep enough SOL in your account, Solana can remove your data to free up space for others.<br>

#### How Much Space Do You Need?

The more data you store, the higher your minimum balance needs to be. For example, a basic token account might need about 0.002 SOL as a deposit – just a few cents.<br>

#### What happens if you can't pay for the rent?

If an account on Solana runs out of lamports and falls below the rent-exempt minimum balance, it is at risk of being removed from the network. This means the account may be deleted by the Solana runtime to free up storage space.&#x20;

In practical terms, if you don't keep enough lamports in your account to meet the rent-exempt threshold, your account can no longer store data and might become inaccessible or deleted. This mechanism ensures that only accounts actively maintained and funded remain on the blockchain, preventing unused accounts from taking up valuable storage space.

#### Buying a new token on Solana<br>

* You pay for the token.
* You also pay a small extra amount of SOL as rent for the new account that holds your token.
* If you delete the account later, you get the SOL back.

### How to Close a Solana Account

To close a Solana account (such as a token account), you need to remove all tokens from it and then close the account. When you close the account, any SOL (including the rent-exempt minimum) that was locked in it will be returned to your wallet.

**Steps to Close an Account:**

* Transfer any remaining tokens out of the account.
* Use a wallet interface (like Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack) or a tool like Sol Incinerator to close the account and reclaim the SOL.
* If you prefer command-line tools, you can use the Solana CLI to close accounts. This typically involves commands like: spl-token close-account \<ACCOUNT\_ADDRESS> \<RECIPIENT\_ADDRESS>, which sends any remaining SOL to the recipient address you specify.

**Note:** Simply sending the rent to another address will not close the account. The account must be formally closed, either through a wallet UI, a dApp like Sol Incinerator, or the CLI.

### What is Sol Incinerator?

Sol Incinerator is a decentralized application (dapp) built for Solana that lets users easily burn (permanently delete) unwanted tokens, NFTs, and even SOL domains from their wallet. When you burn these assets, any SOL locked as storage rent in those accounts is returned to your wallet.<br>

**Key Features:**

* Burn multiple unwanted assets at once.
* Reclaim SOL locked up as rent in token/NFT accounts.
* Clean up spam, dead tokens, and low-value NFTs.
* Works with major Solana wallets like Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, and Glow.

### How to Use Sol Incinerator

1. Visit the official Sol Incinerator website (e.g., [www.sol-incinerator.com](http://www.sol-incinerator.com/)).
2. Connect your wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, etc.).
3. The tool will scan your wallet for burnable assets: tokens, NFTs, domains, and even inactive wallets.
4. Review the list of assets and see how much SOL you will reclaim for each.
5. Select the assets you want to burn (be careful, as this process is irreversible).
6. Confirm and execute the burn transaction in your wallet.
7. The assets are permanently removed and the SOL rent is returned to your wallet.

# Understanding Pump.fun

### The Pump.fun Experience: A User’s Guide to Memecoin Mechanics

Imagine you want to launch your own meme token. Here’s how Pump.fun makes it happen, step by step:

### 1. Step Into the Creator’s Shoes

When you launch a token on Pump.fun, the platform uses something called a bonding curve to determine how much each token costs and how that price changes over time. Think of the bonding curve as a kind of automated price-setting machine: it starts with a low price for the very first buyers, and every time someone buys more tokens, the price for the next buyer goes up a little. This means the earliest participants can buy in at the lowest prices, and as more people join in, the price rises smoothly and predictably for everyone who comes after.

\
The way it works is that the total supply of tokens is set at the start, and each purchase takes a chunk out of that supply. The price you pay is calculated according to a formula that takes into account how much of the supply has already been bought. The curve is designed so that the price increases gradually at first, but as the supply on the curve gets lower, the price increases more quickly. This creates an incentive for people to get in early, and it also means that as the token gains popularity, the price naturally rises in a transparent way.<br>

Because the price is determined by the curve and not by a separate liquidity pool or market maker, there’s always a price available for buying or selling, and no one can manipulate the price by suddenly adding or removing large amounts of liquidity. This makes the whole process fair and transparent, since everyone can see exactly how the price will change with each new purchase. The bonding curve is at the heart of what makes Pump.fun accessible and trustworthy for launching new tokens. It removes the need for complicated setup or trust, and lets the market decide the price in a way that’s open and predictable for everyone involved.

### 2. The Magic of the Bonding Curve

Once your token is live on Pump.fun, anyone can start buying it. The way the price works seems like magic but it’s actually just smart math. The very first people to buy your token get it at the lowest price, and as more people join in and make purchases, the price automatically increases. This process is known as a “bonding curve.” Imagine the price rising smoothly and predictably, like climbing a gentle hill that gets a little steeper as you go higher.

What makes this approach so appealing is that you don’t need to set up a separate pool of funds to provide liquidity or worry about someone manipulating the price. The curve handles everything for you, ensuring that the price is always fair and transparent. Everyone can see exactly how the price will change with each new purchase, which builds trust and encourages more people to participate. The bonding curve is what makes Pump.fun’s token launches simple, secure, and open to everyone.<br>

### 3. Instant Trading

As soon as your token is created on Pump.fun, it’s immediately available for trading. There’s no waiting period, no approval process, and no need to coordinate with other platforms or liquidity providers. The moment your token goes live, anyone can buy or sell it directly through the platform. This instant tradability means that excitement and activity can start right away, and participants don’t have to worry about delays or complicated steps. The bonding curve ensures that every trade is possible at a fair and transparent price, so buyers and sellers can interact in real time, making the whole experience fast, fluid, and full of energy from the very first moment. This immediacy is one of the reasons why Pump.fun is such a dynamic place for launching and trading new tokens.

### 4. Fair Play, No Tricks

Pump.fun is built around the idea of fairness for everyone. When a new token launches, there are no presales, no hidden allocations, and no special advantages for insiders. The platform is designed so that everyone starts on the same footing at the same time. All transactions are recorded transparently on the blockchain, so you can see every purchase and sale as it happens. This openness means there’s no room for tricks or manipulation: what you see is what you get. The rules are clear and apply equally to everyone, which helps build trust and encourages a lively, honest community around each new token. In this environment, success depends on the strength of your idea and the enthusiasm of your supporters, not on secret deals or insider access. That’s what makes Pump.fun a place where anyone can participate with confidence.

### 5. Stay Safe From Scams

Worried about rug pulls or sudden price crashes? Pump.fun is designed with these risks in mind. The bonding curve at the heart of the platform’s mechanics means that liquidity is built in from the start, and the price for each token is set by a transparent, mathematical formula. This setup prevents anyone from suddenly removing all the funds or draining the pool and running away, which is a common tactic in other token launches. When you trade on Pump.fun, the rules are clear and visible to everyone, so you can participate with confidence, knowing that the platform’s structure is working to protect you from the most common types of scams. While no system is completely risk-free, the bonding curve’s transparency and automatic pricing help create a safer environment for everyone involved.<br>

### 6. Bring Your Community Along

Launching a token on Pump.fun is just the beginning: what truly brings your project to life is the community behind it. The platform is designed to make it easy for you to share your creation and rally supporters around your idea. You can spread the word by posting your token link on social media, engaging with your audience in real time, and using Pump.fun’s interactive features, such as live streaming and community chat, to build excitement and trust. As more people discover your token and join in, you’ll see the price and activity grow, reflecting the collective enthusiasm of your supporters. By fostering a sense of belonging and participation, Pump.fun helps turn your token launch into a shared experience, where every new member can contribute to the story and success of your project.<br>

### Why Choose Pump.fun?

When considering where to launch or participate in new memecoins, Pump.fun stands out for several compelling reasons. Its design centers on accessibility and fairness, making token creation and trading open to practically anyone, regardless of technical expertise. The platform’s no-code approach and low fees mean you can launch a token in minutes with minimal cost, removing the traditional barriers that often keep newcomers out of the crypto space. Every launch follows a fair process: there are no presales, no team allocations, and no insider advantages, ensuring all participants start on an equal footing.

Immediate tradeability is another major advantage: tokens become available for buying and selling right after launch, without the need for waiting periods or complicated liquidity setup. The bonding curve model at the heart of the platform ensures that prices adjust transparently and automatically based on demand, rewarding early adopters and maintaining market stability. This model also helps protect against common scams, such as rug pulls, by making it difficult for anyone to suddenly drain liquidity.

# Avoiding Scam Tokens

## What Are Scam Tokens?

Scam tokens are commonly found on all blockchains but they’re particularly prevalent on Solana due to the volume of new tokens launched there. In the case of pump.fun, scam tokens are fraudulent digital assets created and launched on the Solana blockchain with the intent to deceive or exploit traders. While pump.fun makes it easy for anyone to mint and trade new tokens, this accessibility has led to a flood of scam tokens, with reports indicating that a high proportion of tokens launched on the platform are either rug pulls or pump-and-dump schemes.

Because anyone can launch a token on pump.fun with minimal cost and effort, the platform has become a hotspot for these scams. As a result, most tokens created there quickly collapse in value, and only a tiny fraction retain any real liquidity or legitimacy.

These scammers often use tactics such as:

* Imitating Legitimate Projects: Copying names, symbols, or branding to trick users into thinking they are buying into a real project.
* Artificial Hype: Using wash trading, volume bots, or microbuys to create fake trading activity and inflate token value, luring unsuspecting buyers.
* Rug Pulls: Suddenly withdrawing liquidity or selling large amounts of tokens to crash the price, leaving genuine investors with worthless assets.
* Clone Attacks: Exploiting delays in token listings to launch fake versions of trending tokens, hoping to catch investors off guard.

Next to this you also have tokens that are unsolicited or malicious digital assets sent to crypto wallets, typically as part of fraudulent schemes such as scam airdrops, honeypots, or rug pulls. These tokens are often designed to mimic legitimate cryptocurrencies by copying their names, symbols, or branding, and are created with the intent to deceive or defraud investors.&#x20;

Common tactics include distributing tokens as free airdrops, running fake promotions, or presenting tokens with unrealistic values to entice users into interacting with them. Once you engage, you may be tricked into connecting your wallet to a malicious site, providing personal information, or investing in worthless assets, often resulting in financial loss or compromised security.<br>

## How Do Scam Tokens End Up in Wallets?

Scammers exploit the openness of public blockchain addresses by sending scam tokens directly to users through airdrops or fake promotional rewards, making it easy for these malicious assets to appear in unsuspecting wallets. Many of these tokens contain embedded links that lead to phishing websites where users are tricked into entering sensitive wallet credentials, ultimately risking the loss of their funds.&#x20;

**Solana Launch Markets**: Platforms like Pump.fun and Raydium have become hotspots for scam tokens, especially memecoins. Due to low transaction fees and fast settlement, scammers can quickly deploy and promote fraudulent tokens. Common scams include honeypots, soft rug pulls, and fake launchpad clones that trick you into connecting wallets or funding fake sales.

**Ethereum Launch Markets**: Similar scams occur on Ethereum, where fraudulent projects launch tokens on DEXs like Uniswap. These tokens are promoted through social media and fake communities, often with promises of high returns or exclusive access. Scammers may engineer smart contracts to restrict selling, drain liquidity, or require you to approve malicious transactions, compromising wallet security.<br>

## Red Flags to Identify Scam Tokens

Scam tokens often arrive unexpectedly in wallets without any legitimate transaction or context, making their sudden appearance a key warning sign. These tokens typically have unknown origins, lacking any traceable or reputable source, which makes it difficult to verify their legitimacy.&#x20;

Many display unrealistic values due to manipulated liquidity pools, giving the false impression of significant worth and luring you into further engagement. Suspicious airdrops are common, with tokens often featuring tempting names or links to unfamiliar websites designed to entice into interacting with potential scams.&#x20;

Scam tokens also tend to exhibit low liquidity and high volatility, making them difficult to trade and prone to dramatic price swings that can trap unsuspecting investors. Additionally, their smart contracts may contain red flags such as hidden fees, unrestricted minting capabilities, or ownership controls that allow scammers to manipulate or lock funds.

#### Red Flags

Here is a clear, actionable list of red flags that can help you spot scam tokens:

* **Unrealistic Price Movements**: Sudden, sharp price spikes or pumps that don’t align with any credible news or broader market trends.
* **Low or No Liquidity**: Tokens with very little liquidity, or liquidity provided only by the contract creator, making it hard or impossible to sell your tokens.
* **Anonymous or Unverifiable Team**: No information about the developers, no LinkedIn profiles, or a team that is impossible to verify.
* **Aggressive or Spammy Marketing**: Excessive hype, shilling by influencers, or heavy promotion in Telegram/WhatsApp/WeChat groups, often without substance.
* **No Clear Purpose or Use Case**: The project lacks a whitepaper, roadmap, or real explanation for why the token exists.
* **High or Hidden Transaction Taxes**: Tokens with excessive sell taxes (sometimes set to 100%), or other hidden fees that prevent you from selling or drain your funds.
* **Honeypot Behavior**: You can buy the token but cannot sell it or only the developer is able to sell.
* **Freeze Authority Not Removed (Solana)**: The token creator retains the ability to freeze transfers, meaning they can lock up your tokens at any time.
* **Not Listed on Major Trackers**: The token is missing from reputable sites like CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap or only appears on obscure DEXs.
* **Unofficial Sales Channels**: Offers to buy tokens through private messages or unofficial groups, often with promises of pre-sale discounts.
* **Limited or No Community Presence**: The project’s online communities are filled with bots, spam, or lack genuine engagement.
* **Suspicious Token Metrics**: Abnormal ratios between holders, price, market cap, and trading volume, or metrics that don’t make sense for a “popular” token.
* **No or Unlocked Liquidity Pool**: The liquidity pool isn’t locked, or the creator has already removed liquidity, signaling a potential rug pull.
* **Phishing Links or Fake Launchpads**: Fake websites or launchpads that mimic legitimate ones to trick you into connecting your wallet or entering your seed phrase
* **Mint Risk**: The token creator retains the ability to mint new tokens, flooding the market making the token worthless.
* **Bundled launch**: When a team sets up multiple wallets and uses them to buy their own newly launched token simultaneously at launch, creating the appearance of organic demand and controlling a larger share of the token supply, often to manipulate price or market perception.

## Risks Associated with Scam Tokens

Interacting with scam tokens poses significant security risks as it can trigger unauthorized transactions or even lead to full wallet compromise, exposing your assets and sensitive data to scammers. Additionally, the presence of these tokens in your wallet can artificially inflate your portfolio’s value, resulting in financial distortion that undermines the accuracy of portfolio tracking.\
\
Additionally, scam tokens often have artificially manipulated prices and may be impossible to sell, trapping your funds. Always verify the legitimacy of tokens before trading to protect your assets.<br>

## How to Handle Scam Tokens

Always verify the contract address of unfamiliar tokens using trusted sources like CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko to ensure they are not associated with known scams.&#x20;

Never interact with suspicious tokens. Avoid trading, transferring, or connecting your wallet to any sites linked to these assets, as this can expose you to significant security risks.

To protect yourself:

* **Verify Contract Address**: Always check token contract addresses on trusted platforms like CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, or the official project website to ensure legitimacy.
* **Never Interact with Suspicious Tokens**: Avoid trading, transferring, or clicking on links associated with unfamiliar or unsolicited tokens as these actions can compromise your wallet.
* **Isolate Scam Tokens**: Separate suspicious tokens from your main holdings by hiding or marking them in your wallet.
* **Stay Informed**: Regularly update yourself on new scam tactics.

## Tools and Methods for Scam Token Detection

* [**Token Sniffer**](https://tokensniffer.com/): Scans smart contracts for exploits, performs audits, and lists known scams or honeypots.
* **Blockchain Explorer**: Analyzes transaction histories, wallet movements, and token behaviors to identify suspicious activity.
* [**RugDoc**](https://honeypot.rugdoc.io/): Reviews contract code, liquidity, and developer history to warn about potential rug pulls.
* [**De.Fi Scanner**](https://de.fi/scanner): Analyzes smart contracts for vulnerabilities and provides risk scores to assess potential threats.
* [**Honeypot.is**](https://honeypot.is/): Detects honeypot traps by simulating buy and sell transactions and analyzing smart contract behavior

It should be noted that even so-called honeypot checkers are unable to identify all scams and thus just because they give a token a clean bill of health doesn’t guarantee that it’s legitimate.&#x20;

## Staying Safe

Always begin by verifying token contract addresses on trusted platforms like CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko before interacting with any new or unfamiliar tokens. Avoid trading, transferring, or connecting your wallet to unsolicited or suspicious tokens, as doing so can expose you to significant security risks.

Utilize wallet security features such as two-factor authentication and leverage third-party tools designed to detect scam tokens and monitor transactions. Staying informed with online crypto communities allows you to learn about emerging scams and best security practices. Before investing, thoroughly research the project’s transparency, team credibility, and community feedback to avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes.

If you happen to receive scam tokens, there is an option to burn them by sending them to a burn address but this does cost a gas fee.<br>

## Conclusion

It’s crucial to remain vigilant and proactively manage scam tokens to protect yourself from evolving threats.&#x20;

By leveraging the built-in tools such as automated detection, custom filters, and contract verification you can more easily identify and handle scam tokens before they cause harm. Staying informed about the latest scam tactics and regularly updating security practices further strengthens protection.&#x20;
