# Mindshare

Shown as a 🧠 emoji alongside Trending tokens, Mindshare is a proprietary metric developed by Cielo. It’s helpful for identifying Solana and Base tokens that are proving popular with other Cielo users.<br>

Mindshare gives each token a percentage score based on wallet behavior. Instead of ranking tokens by price, trading volume, and market cap, Mindshare tracks real swap activity from wallets in Cielo’s database. Tokens enter Trending because real Cielo traders are buying them.

### How Mindshare Works

Cielo constantly scans for token momentum within your selected timeframe, which can range from 1 min to 24 hrs. When enough tracked wallets start buying the same token during that window, it enters Trending.

Rankings reflect relative conviction – not raw token metrics. Because Mindshare is driven by wallet behavior, Trending often surfaces tokens before traditional metrics catch up, giving you early visibility into what active traders are focusing on in real time.

That doesn’t mean you should buy a token just because it is popular. We endeavor to filter out known honeypots and common scams but it is impossible to catch all dubious tokens. Moreover, the lifespan of new tokens can be extremely short. Mindshare is a powerful tool but is not a foolproof solution.

When combined with traditional indicators, however, such as market cap and trading volume, Mindshare can be helpful in identifying new tokens that are on the rise.
